Description
I MADE IT.This flower has no juliaN (or julia3D or similar) as final transform.
I have been asking myself whether it was possible or not and...yes, it's possible.
I'll try some other variation, but I think this is an achievement already.
(the flower itself is visually nothing special

Excellent execution and intriguing concept...and yes, the flower itself is visually something special. Β
I took this as a challenge of sorts--to make a 2D flower without any julia-based variations--so I looked at my traditional 2D bloom params and made a blacklist of variations that I wouldn't allow myself to use. Β I have a 2D flower now with no julia-based variations, no final transform at all, no spherical-based variations, and no gaussian_blur. Β (It doesΒ have some cross though...close enough. Β ) Β I currently have a huge backlog of fractals, so it could be a while before I upload the "bloom" tentatively named Ataraxia. Β Nonetheless, when I do, I'll be sure to give you credit for the inspiration. Β

Nobody told me.
But I didn't use y anyway (which I use in place of linear, usually).

oh lols answered on some other comment, randomly...
y can replace spherical with some variable settings Β - but i recommend this for 2d because y is a slooooooooooooooooooooooow y
also there are sphericals with numbers
and julian2, which is julian but has tons of cool variables.

Yeah, those one I used already in a bloom, they're kinda nice. Even curve does something (in place of linear).

but they can be used for fx too

It's beautiful as always ! and so sharp ! I believe this way of working seems to yield sharper imagesΒ . Or is it just my perception ?

I care to disagree! The blurring and petal intricacy give the flower a very unique appearance. The latter, specifically, makes the petals look as though they have been covered with a light frost. Magnificently done, and I am happy to read that you accomplished your goal.
