New, improved reference sheet for Din. Left half is a colored version of this free lineart [link] by *akreon that I slightly modified to make it work with Din.

The main reason I made him a new ref is because people have a hard time seeing his design on the old one. They often does not see his fur pattern, because of all the dark colours, so I did this so that it would be easier for people to draw him.
Nothing very fancy, but something that needed to be done ^^

Name: Din
Age: Unknown, between 200-300 years
Race: Wolf spirit/Soul eater
Fur: Dark grey and black
Eyes: Blind, pale blue with faded pupils.

Personality:
Din is solemn and ethereal, mysterious and calm. It's very hard to get close to him, and he is much of a loner, and even a bit shy. He prefer the night, and keeps away from the daylight. At first when he meets Decay, he only see him as a tool to help him in his own goals, and takes the place as his right hand only as it fits himself. Later on he actually starts to get closer to him and even gets some sort feelings for him.

Biography:
Din was born as a normal wolf with three siblings. He was young and beautiful, but as time passed and he became adult, he realised that he would only fade and die, and terrified by this thought, he left his home and family in search of a way to stay young. One night, he encountered a mighty spirit, and he offered him immortality, if he served as a reaper and guide of the souls. As a test the spirit demanded that he would take the soul of his own sister. Desperate he does it, but in remorse and fear he ran away, far, far away, leaving everything behind him, and taking on his new role, taking the name Din.
He wanders alone for a long time, but later on meets the wicked creature Decay. He joins him, and helps him to collect souls that can keep him alive. Why he does this is a mystery, as he could easily break free and keep on living as his own master...

Abilities: Din can collect the souls of dead (or living) creatures, his mane is made of these souls, and they are his life. He can sense when a creature is dying and hunt it down quickly. He is blind, but have a special kind of "vision", so he rather feels than sees his environment.
Where Din's paws touches the ground, shadows are spreading and he can also disappear in these shadows and become one with the darkness.

Relationships:
Decay: [link] [link] Din's "master". Din can be a very obedient servant, but often he likes to play with Decay and can be a real pain-in-the-neck.
Sonne: [link] Decay's opponent and therefore also Din's enemy. When he first meets him he is enchanted by him, and turn his back on Decay, but is the deceived by Sonne. After that he hates him, and wants to see him dead.
