but with all due seriousness this is excellent don't see many decent anthropomorphic drawings of twilight sparkle, or ponies for that matter.

Well, first you create a rough draft and then you use the path tool to get some proper line art. Or you create rough draft and try to trace the lines as carefully as possible. I've done both and the path tool method looks better and doesn't take as long.
