Description
My attempt at something different. I'm not entirely sure whether I like it or not. It's actually over a month old - I was just unsure if I should even keep it.The title is a reference to Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura. There's another, pony-less pic, but so far I didn't feel like submitting it to dA. So yeah.
It was originally supposed to be more steampunk-esque, as you may have figured by now. Unfortunately, or fortunately - depending on your point of view -, I gave up halfway through.

The cutie mark in the background was taken from one of 's vectors.

I really like her outfit, but why is one sleeve longer than the other?
Also, I kinda like the blurriness of her hair, along the edges, but I'm not sure if it would be better without it.

Oh, as I said in the description - it was intended to be more steampunk-ish. The sleeve was supposed to be rolled up and she was supposed to wear a gadget on her foreleg. So yeah.
As to the blurriness... I chalk it up to the creation process. I shall try to avoid it in the future.

That makes sense. If you wanted to "finish" it, you could cut the long sleeve to match. That is, if you still have the project saved with the appropriate layers. Regardless, I really like the design. Thus, faved.

That's probably because she is the most normal of the bunch. She's just a bit stubborn at times. The rest are plain nuts! lol

If anything, her hair looks perfect.
Though the blury edges make it look kinda ethereal or something like that, like it doesn't really fit there.

It is a remnant of the incredibly convoluted creation process that led to its, well, creation. I might have been able to get rid of it relatively early on. But it was the first thing I actually drew and I had to move on to something else before the inevitable ending fatigue set in. Otherwise I might have binned it there and then.
Long story short - I shall try to avoid it in the future. Thank you for your input.

I don't know, looks pretty awesome to me. The colors are great, and blending done in the mane and tail stand out distinctly too. You might not have accomplished what you wanted to do, but you still made a wonderful picture if you ask me.
