Description After using traditional and digital 2D media, why not switching back into 3D with Blender.
It's the long promised finish of this WIP, which I posted here some time ago:Β fav.me/d9lrz4s
Neovenator salerii walks into the showroom, presenting us her textures plus the material shaders, that were set up during various test renders. Maybe, the theropod just thinks about, who will get between the jaws

In a second attempt I ventured into Blender's ability to create hair / fur and put some kind of feathers on my 3D Neovenator.

Upon first glace I thought I read nova raptor so I was confused why it wasn't very raptor-y, but I've seen my mistake.

As per normal, absolute flop-ton of detailΒ put into this dino, so of course it's beautiful.Β Β

Nova / Neo... well both is referring to "new" in Latin.
A carnosaur doesn't fit into the group of dromeosaurids, but can be deadly as the raptors are.
Thank you much, dealing with 3D helps to improve my Blender knowledge to make the rendered scenes more beautiful.

Wow, this looks really great, especially the eye of the Neovenator. I'd love to see it animated, if you're ever planning on doing that. It's also interesting to see how different the model is compared to the drawings: in the drawings, the Neovenator looked more robust. Could this be another "morph" or subspecies, or even a younger one? Just an observation.

For the model I used two spheres for creating the eye, where the outer sphere is mimicking the transparent and shiny part, while the second is the eye itself. Well, the animation is underway. Probably, I stayed too close to the reference skeletal, but I would say that the 3D Neovenator could be a subadult - I think I would have given a subspecies some distinct colors - and the one in the drawings might be one of the larger individuals, that attained 32 ft, which is suggested by few remains.

When I noticed how thin the neck looked, I adjusted some parts of the model, so the animated one will be the edited model.
