Description
sooo it's Halloween! It also happens to be my Great Great Grandfather, Grover Cleveland Breitling's 126 birthday! If he had lived this long, it would have been interesting to meet one of the men who has been an inspiration for many of my characters' stories. He's the smug guy leaning back in the automobile with his hat tilted up. If you know what Matthias looks like you should be able to spot him here along with his cousins. I'm related to everyone in the photograph. I wonder what happened to that automobile? wish he would have kept it around...by the way... I do have a character named Grover Cleveland Breitling...but that's another story and a different time period

Such an interesting photo! When was it taken approximately? It's always great to see such old photos especially when we are related to the people in the picture. Your Great Great Grandfather looked great. XD Anyway my Great Great Grandfather served in the army of Austria-Hungary in WWI. Unfortunately he died at the Eastern Front. But in the main square of the town where I live there's a memorial plaque for WWI soldiers and his name is on that as well.

I believe it was taken around 1925 (approximately) Β
That's some cool family history you have! What an honor to have someone who fought in the Great War in your family, and that they have been given a memorial for their service. Grover's dad has his name on a plaque in our town square too, but not for fighting in a war. He contributed to a historical monument here xD your GGGrandfather made the greatest sacrifice for his nation, very deserving of memoriamΒ

Yes, I'm so proud of him even though I didn't know him but it's really nice when people sacrifices their lives for their nations. All soldiers are honourable who risk their own lives for the future generations. And it's also so cool that your GGGrandfather's dad contributed a historical monument. The memory of him will live on in your town.
