I thought about that as well when I was drawing, to be honest I am more comfortable with drawing the Lee and also since the British and French were Allies it was common for them to have intermingled weaponry.

Well, whatever you are comfortable with. Though in a design choice a full french arsenal would be better. Would create some diversity when your story include the british or both on the same page.
