How've you been? Your stuff I see on tumblr has been really great! It's been neat watching your style evolve. I don't have too many close art friends - and making an art friend in Brooklyn can be a real pain in the ass it would seem, pssh! Anyway, it's cool to get to see you make cool things too.

life's crazy as ever, but I'm gonna take a good long break from all the craziness very soon, I hope. And focus on art and comics!
Evolving, huh... when I look at my own art lately, I'm a little frustrated, because I can see for the past few years, I've very rarely been able to sit down and put my all into a work, or make something really detailed and well thought-out.
On the other hand, I've been improving with speed, so that's comforting.
It seems like there'd be lots of artsy folks in Brooklyn! But I guess I've never been there, so how would I know?

Yes, evolving. I remember how your art looked back when you first went nuts for Mac and Phil and to look at what you do now, you've certainly come along with your style. I think that's the most important thing though - that you actually have a style. I know what's your art before I even see the name and that's a good thing to have.

aw, man, thanks for saying so! I've actually had a number of people say something similar recently - that my art is recognizable - and it always surprises me. Perhaps because it's my own style, and I've met people - like - whose art I find so similar to my own at times that I sometimes have trouble telling our traditional doodles apart at first glance.
