Description The first official trailer of season 8 has lounged today! However it's only 1:25 minutes short yet we get some new stuff to see.

The specialists for example are disgusting! They look like children, no muscles, baby/girly faces, short, helia has short hair, sky looks not sky and nex has a strange baby face.

They eyes of the winx are reminding me of that I am watching "ever after high" or "royal academy" or something. It's not unique anymore and they look so young now...

However I like the cosmix designs, valtor is back and still a bit the same, faragonda is back and looking a bit younger....
But I'm still curious about the storyline so we're just gonna wait until the next thing shows up.

What do you guys think about it?

I share your feelings about the season 8. It's sad they ruined it so much. And used such clichΓ© stuff like the icy past and diaspro and valtor. About the saga.. I actually do like it. They already said it wasn't supposed to be totally the same story as the original Winx so I did respected that already. I do find it a shame they ruined the transformation that much. She didn't even changed close πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ I do love her wings and the story line! It just needed more episodes if you ask me since they put so much storyline in only 6 episodes..

And that was one of the things I LIKED about 4. THEY WERE NOT IN IT! Recycling old villains when they're supposed to be dead is stupid and lazy!

Bloom destroyed Valtor's soul from the inside out in 3 and he exploded to nothingness. Now FIVE SEASONS LATER, he's back? That's a complete ass-pull!

Even BIGGER ass-pull are those three bitches. Season 6, they got SEALED AWAY in the Legendarium! Then in 7, they somehow come BACK in literally the LAST FOUR EPISODES for no real reason when the Winx were dealing with Kalshara. AND they get sealed away YET AGAIN by the Swan of Infinity! Now THIS bullshit! Coming back AGAIN despite those sealed away situations! And now in literally the LAST four episodes, they want to make ICY redeemable!?

This is nothing more than a stupid ret-con!

I didn't watched the 8th season yet because I'm waiting till it comes out in Dutch but I saw some spoilers on Instagram coming trough and it's very confusing I must say. Yeah the trix in it isn't funny anymore. They became so lame. In season 1 and 2 they were evil and strong and season 3 was okay but valtor was the big villian there but since season 5 the trix were getting very lame... Very sad

The art style is awkward, but what bothers me more is the emphasis on maximum nostalgia over logic.

Why is Valtor the villain of this season? Because he’s the most popular villain in the series, so Rainbow knows old-school fans will watch just to see him again. Same reason they brought back Riven, even after firmly establishing last season that he and Musa were over for good.

But you know who would have made a lot more sense as the villain? Lord Darkar. He’s the personification of pure darkness and evil, so why wouldn’t he want to snuff out all light, which is both illumination and the symbol of goodness? Plus, unlike Valtor, who was dead (I don’t care what lame excuse Rainbow came up with), Darkar can technically never die because A) he’s the natural balance to the Dragon Flame, because light can’t exist without darkness; and B) he’s a phoenix, which is literally the symbol of eternal rebirth. That makes him the perfect multi-season villain.

But no...they picked Valtor just because he’s popular. Way to drop the ball hard, Rainbow. πŸ˜‘

Yeah I understand the irritation! And you're right. Valtor has died so it doesn't make any sence. Becides.. I'm afraid they are ruining him and the enchantix... it would be cool if darkar would come back. It would also be more sence that he would turn bloom back in dark bloom. Yeah valtor is gonna make bloom dark bloom but she is not gonna be black this time. Her hair is up like fire and she weares blue strange clothes.

Yeah the theory about valtor being back is a mystery still but I have so mixed feelings. I am thrilled for the new story and transformations and stuff but how they look now.. The art... Winx was always so different then other cartoons and now they are looking related after 'royal academy' or 'like ever after high'. It's not original anymore... and they are looking so much younger after everythinf they have been trough with 7 seasons...

I think they are out running ideas, I mean everybody knows that valtor is the best villian of the whole series! So how can you attract children but still keep your main audience?! By bringing back a populair villian. Bloom is gonna be dark bloom again but not in black this time. Her hair is like fire, straight up and she wears blue messy clothes. Also...
