I'm asking in Comparison to Mandelbulb3D or Apophysis or Incendia or JWildfire?

And trust me I got the Desire, I just want to have the Knowledge. Can I animate with this Software as well? Can I save and swap Parameters or Files?

www.fractalforums.com/fragment… did you registeded here? There is knowledge base of Fragmentarium. For beginners, for animators, for experiments etc...
For me  fragmentarium - easier soft ) I used mb3d and Apo a little, jwildfire little more (you can see that in my gallery)  Frag has intuitive interface with keyboard/mouse control (like 3D videogame) and it renders "WYSIWYG" always
Yes you can create animation www.fractalforums.com/index.ph…

Ok awesome! I never really played with it because I don't see alot of people's examples of it but I believe I have it DL'ed somewhere. I'm also familiar with Fractal Forums and need to visit it more often if I'm going to be working on Fractals again.

oh and a quick question.. do you know why I am sometimes getting lines like stitching frames together (like there are on the mid left of the link above and very obvious in this ??sta.sh/0afbu1hd13h )

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

C-JR In reply to timemit [2016-02-05 15:49:35 +0000 UTC]

It's "feature" of tile rendering. Image cuts on tiles and every tile is separate image. So it affect on AO and bloom (to a greater extent), maybe on DoF too.
You need to use offset in rendering settings. It helps to smooth borders of every tile.
For example i use very often 25% offset with 800x450 window and 3x3 tiles - so in fact we have full HD output.

timemit In reply to C-JR [2016-02-05 16:05:13 +0000 UTC]

i guessed it was the bloom and AO in particular.. where do I find offset function?    this was 1920x1080 rendered at 2000subframes

C-JR In reply to timemit [2016-02-06 06:28:24 +0000 UTC]

It's called  "padding"
sta.sh/0j3b7vy5dpq

So if you will use bloom, the effect will depends from window (tile) size. For example, try to render the same scene with a lot of bloom by two ways:
1. Large window and a few tiles
2. Small window and a lot of tiles
Final render must have the same resolution. And you will see two different images )))
