Description
Series on Date Rape for the 20 and under crowd. Supposed to be an insert for Now magazine. It uses the Rhetoric of Pathos - a greek model of reaching an audience. Pathos is appeal based on emotion. Advertisements tend to be pathos-driven.Approach three was supposed to be our choice of hierarchy. I chose to use a strong image and text as secondary. This is supposed to be my final but I feel it could still use a helluva lot of work

I was sexually harrassed by a bastard in my class. My best friend got raped because I I kicked his ass when he grabbed my butt. I know this will sound weird, but my puggle tried to warn me. I should've listened but MAN I WAS PISSED! I don't think that bastard will ever reproduce again.

But my friend was a lucky one. The head of police sent the bastard to juvie (The kid was 12). Some girls don't have a friend, or a dog, or even a boyfriend to save them. This is my friend's story, and together we can all stop this BULLSHIT! WHO'S WITH ME! LET'S STOP THIS RAPING SHIT ONCE AND FOR ALL!

Very good. Shocking enough to make the point without being gratuitous. In my own opinion, I like your second approach better, though. It shows ordinary women who fell victim in ordinary circumstances. That's the emphasis I'd want to make.
