Over here where I live I don't remember seeing any in years and years; at least 20 years anyway. They are like flying art!

Yes, it is. Along with the bee population and other insects that are helpful to us, it is frightening, to me. I honestly believe it is from all the cell towers. Just my opinion, but that is what I think.

For sure the cell towers are a great influence ..but also all the poison from weed killers etc. and lost of habitat.
If we keep taking we will lose everything I guess so I think we need to learn (again how) too share with all living things on this beautiful planet

Very true. I was a kid when they first started using DDT and of course eventually outlawed it but it was really dangerous stuff! The stupidity of our species amazes me. We put antibiotics into cattle and swine. Don't know about fowl, and then we spray poison on crops we harvest and eat, and we kill trees and rain forests, we take the habitat of wild animals, and then kill them when they try to intrude on their "territory" . Who are the parasites again?
Back in the 1980s I was a radio dispatcher for a crop duster and one day he contacted me and told me to call an ambulance to meet him at his hanger. He had dusted a field with Malathion, and then when he banked to circle back, the tank the malathion was in turned over and he got drenched pretty badly over all. When the ambulance got there he was stark naked and hosing himself down with cold water. He almost died from it, since it is absorbed by the skin. He was sick for several months. Pretty scary stuff.

Indeed a true thing about all the poison we put in our food chain and of course totally incomprehensible why?!
Now DDT is not in use we replaced it with a new danger (in my believe) with the Monsanto stuff and genetically modified food.
Wow what a story you tell there .. I would think the duster never eats any crop that was treated with that stuff.
We have a saying "you are what you eat" and that is a scary thing too think about even for me
