I love "Bone" By Jeff Smith.Every-body claims "Watchmen" is the best Graphic Novel of all time. But, Although I'm pretty sure it was mind-blowing in the 80s, I didn't find it all that revolutionary. And although I can totally understand how it helped saved the graphics novel scene and all that, the problem is that if you grew up reading things that were built on something like Watchmen but have had to add to it and evolve and then you go back and read the original... It's not anything you haven't read before.
I've always felt those who claim Watchmen o be "The best Graphic Novel ever" are either referring to it's significance in helping Graphic Novels evolve... or they're Super-hero comic fanatics and don't really read the independent or left-wing comics.
To me, Bone is undoubtedly the best Graphic Novel ever.
I want to send Jeff Smith a picture like this just say thanks for his book! But I don't know if I want to send THIS one. I think I'll want to send a picture drawn more my own style.
I So badly want a Rat-Creatures figurine! I want one so badly! Some-body buy me one (haha)!

Bone is a pretty awesome series, but in my opinion it declined as it went further on. The earliest comics are hilarious, but sometime after they rescue Thorn from the "Lord of the Locusts" it starts to get too wierd for my tastes, what with the "Crown of Horns" and "Ghost Circles" and yadda yadda. It's just way too much new information that wasn't foreshadowed well.
The earlier parts, with Ted, the Red Dragon, and Granny, are epic, though.

I was totally drawn into this series. I read the first two books, and I was so anxious to see what happened next I returned those to the library to get the next ones, and then I went to our public library and checked out the last five. XD I did that all in one day. And that was today. XD I was so frustrated about how Bone ended that I cried. Or at least I think I cried out of frustration. STUPID PHONEY BONE PRESSURING FONE!

This is very good! The only possible flaw, or at least the only "odd" thing in this pic would be Bone's legs. They look... well... ODD.
Aside that, the pic rocks.

You want a rat creature figurine? I want a rat creature PLUSHIE! I dunno...they've always seemed so huggable to me. Especally our favorite 'village idiots' 
But this is totally cute! I think Jeff would like it! Grumble...I still need to send him my pic of Bone with "A Christmas Story" referances. "Bone" is pretty much the only comic I read. I don't 'do' Manga. I thought the art style was cool in 4th-6th grade, but now I just have my own style. Now that I've found "Bone", I think that'll be the only one I read...that is...if I don't find "Pogo"
