Currently, I am in the middle of reading Book 14 (yeah yeah yeah... I'm slow I know)
I'm currently in the longest story of the book, and the further I read the darker and more uncomfortable it's getting.
But despite all the lies, murder and violence that's growing in the story, what's haunting me the most is a warning issues on the second page of the story. It hasn't been resolved yet, and I doubt it's going to be resolved until the next book, if not the book after that.
Till then, the threat nipping at Usagi's heels is gonna stay in the back of my head. Usagi's slowly growing paranoid regarding the situation. And he's got every damn right to be XDD
I actually drew this picture twice with the same thought in mind because I couldn't decide which composition I liked more.... and ended up liking both sketches. I'll be colouring the second one next.
They look NOTHING alike.. but in my mind they're the same picture XDDD
No mature filter because I don't think it's needed.

I love how powerful it is and the texture, his expression and posture... wow. I really like the sshadows and the blood-looking marks on the ground where his shadow lies... Looks like bad oman and danger creeping to get him!
It's really a good job on the atmosphere!

Nice, I very much like the lighting in this, but I personally think it'd look even more foreboding and maybe a bit chillingly sinister that something evil was coming if there was more shadow on Usagi's face (not darker shadow, just moar). Because of how the shadow is on the rest of his body I feel that there should be more shadow laying on the left side of Usagi's face as well. The lighting on his face now implies that the light is coming from a totally different angle that'd be pushing the shadows away from the spots you want them to go at.
I find the shadowing you did beneath his feet to look very pretty, but somehow it doesn't work with how much darker the shadow gets when it gets closer to the foreground. Shadows tend to be darkest from where they start, so light shadowing at the feet and having it get darker as it goes further down makes it seem like his feet isn't even touching the ground. Like he's levitating.. o.o
Aaaaaand... that's the only thing I'll nit pick at cause I feel this could be a much stronger piece if the shadows were fixed up a bit. Gorgeous lighting though and the way you brushed the texture on the ground and wall. It kind of gives it a strange yet surreal atmosphere with suspense the way it's done cause at the same time it doesn't really look like there is a wall and ground. Just perfect for what you want to aim for in this pic I think.
Hmm... now after saying that..maybe the shadow under the feet is best left the way it is for that affect...maybe... but still... the shadow on the face I still think would look better and make it even stronger piece if more shadow was added on the left side..

As for the shadow I agree with you completely. In fact, it was the right way around when I painted it, but when I changed the background I needed to change the shadow and changed the layer setting which changed the darkness of it. I'll give it some attention and see if I can make that a little better too somehow.
