I was inspired by the short story "Thoughts on Paper" from Turtle Soup. Or more specifically I was inspired by the paintings Donny did in that story. Of course Donny's paintings were pretty dark and angsty and... that's just not what I wanted to draw XDDDStill... even though it was only 5 Pages long I find myself staring over that story endlessly just for Donny's paintings. In the 2k3 cartoon he openly states that he has no artistic talent, but I like the idea of Donny having artistic skill a lot more... Even if the Turtle Soup series isn't exactly canon to the rest of the TMNT Universe.
Some obvious Vincent Van Gogh influence, also some obvious Gustav Klimt influence. And then, because Don used a lot of brown in his paintings I tried to keep it in that vein. His paintings also used a lot of dabbing.
This isn't exactly what I wanted to go for but it's very close so I'm happy
Abstract art is not my forte at ALL. I'm pretty satisfied with this picture because it was out of my comfort zone. I'm also happy with Donny's expression.I probably had more to say... but I'm really tired XD;
I don't draw you enough, but I still love you Don~!

I won't overwork. Sometimes, you might have to wait a little for next chapter, but I am sure I can write down one chapter at a time without worries.
So... I will send every chapter through notes. Because I suck at sending things like this in any other way. XD

Well I expected Don's painting to be angsty and dark. He doesn't express ghinmself very well and the poor guy probably has a lot of pent up emotion that he needs to vent. Still this pic looks like that Donnie is absorbing all knowledge. They say knowledge is power and Donnie seems to be happy about that fact. Heck, I know it to be true as well.

*nodnod* 83 I write about a chapter a day. Aaaand I've been writing for about 2 months now. Yesterday I wrote 2 chapters in one day. I update sometimes once a day, sometimes every second day or, like when I got sick, there was a 3 day delay before I updated again. I'm very anxious to hear feedback so I enjoying getting the chapters up fast XD;; hence my anxiousness to recieve said chapters back from BETAing.

Thats pretty fast. Still, like drawing, the mre you write the better it gets. Still thats a fast update. I'll try and get the chapters back to you from betaing. You don't want a well thought out and well written fic ruined by spelling mistakes and poor grammer. Still I hope all the best. I can't believe that your almost done with it.

Still as a question, are you gonna do some of Donnies portraits as they appeared in the fic at all? Also, just a quick update on that fic. It's coming along but I'm juggling that with another one that someone is asking for. Hopefully I should getit written up soon.

XDD some people said they actually like that about the picture... but between you and me I actually intended to draw Donny in the same style as the background originally 
I had to be very carefuly about which shade of purple I used to make sure it harmonised with the warmer colours, so I'm really glad you feel it looks good.

Well, yeah, I can see what's to like about it, too.. It definately makes for a special kind of look. Still... I guess the thing is mostly that I really like the look of the background and I think it would've been fun to see a TMNT painting completely in that style! 8D Feels more like.. ART, you know?

XD I have another picture in mind which is very much the same thing, but I'm not sure if I'll draw it or not. If I do though I'll man up and draw the turtle in the dabbled style as well
