Just a thought XDDAgain; WARNING! MAJOR Spoilers are both in the picture AND in the artist comment!
Luckily I wasn't thinking this while watching the last cutscene!
But I was kinda wondering about it afterwards. If I were Ratchet, I'd just stick with "Ratchet". Just now his real name turns out to be like Egbert or Julian or something (No offense to any-one whose name IS actually Egbert or Julian) Nah, Ratchet Works. Stick with it I say.
I drew this in flash because I purposefully wanted that rough, scratchy look to it. I wanted it to look even sillier and toonier than this but for some reason that didn't really happen.
The second panel is my favourite. I like how Emperor Tachyon came out. I also like Clank in the last panel.
Before any-one growns about how lame this is, you should be grateful it's not worse. The other Idea I had was Ratchet screaming "You killed my Father!" only to have Tachyon do the classic Vader line of BEING ratchet's father, followed by hysterical screaming on Ratchet's part. But I couldn't stoop so low regardless of how hard I tried.

I think that either Chien [Vietnamese - Fighter, Warrior] or Dietrich [German - Prince] would suit Ratchet.

Meh, the bigger mistery for me is the real name of Nefarious. It can't be his birthname, oh comeon. His parens couldn't be so cruel. It COULD be his last name tho. But I think it's his nickname.Β I want his name to be something cute, not worthy a villain. Lke... Charlie. ot Charles, Charlie. xDDD
And Ratchet for me will always be Ratchet. I wonder why he never asked Alister what his name was. Best friend of his father had to know that, right?Β

XD I think they may have given his real name in the third game? But it's been a while since I played it and I can only think of one place they might've mentioned it. gimme a sec.

Ah no. Seems his name wasn't actually mentioned. Oh well.
I kinda wondered that myself, but considering Alistar's character and how young Ratchet must have been at the time, it's possible Ratchet just wasn't around long enough for Kayden to have mentioned him enough times for the name to stick in Alister's memory. After all, he only recognised Ratchet because he mistook to BE Kayden at first due to the resemblance.
Maybe he did know Ratchet's name at some stage, but chances are with everything that happened, he forgot. Simply because Kayden's newborn son didn't come up in conversation too much while they were working, and he wasn't around long enough to make any great impact on Alister's life directly.
Alister seems to have lost his grip on a LOT of the actually important things when we meet him in Crack in Time.
But yeah. He'll always just be "Ratchet" to me.

But Kaden and Alister were friends since childhood, Alister must have been something like an unkle for Ratchet (or even mayb =e was considered to be godfather? Alister said they were very close with Kaden), come on, and when Kaden's wife was pregnant I'm sure he was talking about baby sometimes. And when your best friend dies I think you try to rememmber everything about him as hard as you can, name of his son too.
But it's possible Ratchet just didn't want to know, he didn't care, he spent his entire life beeing calld Ratchet. Maybe he even asked Alister, he told him and he was like: oh well. Universe knows me as Ratchet, lets stick with that.Β
But no Nefarious smae was never mentioned that's why I rhink it's something so normal it hurts xD Like, we know he was nerd, and a good guy. And that his mother called him a dissapoinment, butRangers always reffer to him as ,,Dr Nefarious'' or just ,,Nefarious'' (even tho they knew him when he was still on the light side of the force). So maybe it is his last name... maybe misspelled? xD He is not a smurf to be named like that, come on xDΒ
I want his name to be Charlie xD And I want to see his mother at some point ot at least hear about her again xDΒ

For some reason I really thought it was "Eugene" but I have no idea where I got that from XDDD Nefarious seems to have had a name like that. But yeah! I want him to have a really lame name! XD like Eugene Flanagan or something. Like a really cartoony nerd name.

Or his name is simply Kaden jr Β XDDDDDD
And I dont its so cliche, I want him to have a little lame name but not so cartoony, I want him to have name so generic that he was afraid no one would rememmber him, so che make up an nickname. But I really like the idea of him beeing Charlie, just... It sounds so nice (everone has his own headcannon xD) also that could be a funny refrence to X-Men - bald scentist named Charles. xD But everyone was calling him Charlie, not Charles because his mom did so xDΒ
AlsoI wish that he called Larence, well Lawrence after someone. That would be a nice touch :3
But my headcannons for R&C could fill an entire book, if not few so... and theories... and ideas. God I am obsessed haha xD

Don't worry. me too XDDD hahaha I often (or rather.. never) actually talk to other Ratchet and Clank fans at all because I'm like "noooo! I love this franchise! I don't wanna share! I don't wanna hear your opinions on it! I just want it to be the games! noooo"

But what kind of gets me is the fact that in ACiT, they never even brought up Kaden's last name.Β Maybe Alister didn't see a need to, but there's a part of me wondering why Ratchet didn't ask.Β It'd be his name too, if Lombax civilization is similar enough to our own.Β Personally, I like Tangent and Zenith, since Lombax last names seem to be science/math related.

Oh and I forgot : it's the Cragmites who named him ^^
in his 1st holo screen on Fastoon (2nd time you go) he tells Ratchet something like "those creatures didn't even give you a name".
So he supposes that the Cragmites let him something for him to know his true name ;D

Ratchet will always be Ratchet to me and besides maybe Percival was lying how would he know Ratchet's real name and about the last cut scene where Clank said about not detecting any lie in Percival's voice since when is Clank a walking lie detector, I mean seriously the only way people can tell I'm lying is by looking at my face and if they know what to look for which means over the phone I can lie threw my teeth

Because he was on Fastoon when he killed Kaden (Ratchet's father), hr knew the Lombaxes them since they have raised him. He knew Alister, and Alister was friend with Kaden (before he gives his plan to Percival). So he must have known Kaden too, and so he also knew his son's name.
