XDD I have no idea what to call this.IT'S BE MEAN TO CHARACTERS TIME!
Because although he's awesomesauce with his sword, Usagi doesn't always come out on top in a fight and will sometimes get his ass handed to him.
Why snow? Simply because I like the way blood looks on snow XD;; shush.
This is the picture I was working on when my photoshop crashed. No harm done. It didn't take very long to salvage.
This picture has little to no purpose XD; it was just something quick to unwind. So it's not that perfect.
I was trying to get a mix between saliva and blood, I think I got it right but I'm not sure. You guys will have to tell me XDD;;;

Edit: Oh yeah! Forgot to say. I got tired of drawing the bugs bunny style ears so I changed that 8D I like this better.

Funny enough, my fave thing about this is the blood hanging off his lip. You can see the drag like if he's moving

It's just strange that he has lost a fight. What fights has he lost in the comics, if you don't mind me asking. From this I imagine that he was jumped by bandits, was engaging one in sword play when another pommel smacks him round face. And as he's about to get up he finds himself looking down the business end of a rifle, hence to look. Also Whats Usagi like with Westerner's? ANd if he's ever met/fought any. You got the right amount of spit and blood there and the look on Usagis face is compuded by the small pupils so what he has seen must've terrified him. The layer of snow falling adds to the isolation.

XDD He's lost more than just a couple of times. So much so that I can't give you an exact number. It's only through luck, mitigating circumstances or the help of friends that he hasn't been killed yet.
I don't believe Usagi's ever met any foreigners. I'm unsure what his feelings towards them are. generally he and his friends tend to speak angrily about the "Southern Barbarians" (better known to us as the Portuguese who landed on the southern Japanese shores) but that's because the Portuguese brought gunpowder to Japan that's much stronger than that of the Chinese and Usagi and his friends feel such a powerful weapon has no place being used by mortals. However I don't believe he's ever met a foreigner in the flesh before so he doesn't have a personal opinion of them.

He should count himself lucky. I bet that a lot of the loses were rather close and he has been scared for his life on more then one occasion.
Interesting. Still the ordinary people will be angry with the portugese the warlords will embrace them for bringing a powerful new waepon to their lands. Whle powerful yes, it also paves te way for the cannon and other weapons. And even though it's still in it's infancy there will be several gun teams across japan. Sooner or later Usagi will probably face off with a gun man but lets hope not. He might get badly hurt.

My mom grew up with Usagi Yujimbo When she was a kind in the 50's. I remember him best from the black & white Ninja Turtles who wouldn't always win in there comics. I really like this pic.
