As a rule, I don't like female characters. Mostly because they are usually badly written, either falling into one of 2 catagories. 1: The wilting flower princess Peach type or 2: The 'strong independent woman' type. Ugh.
I also really despise the idea of a romantic interest being in the R&C series. It would mess up the dynamic between the two main characters and would be a liability to the series, not a boon.

That being said though, I find myself reluctantly liking Talwyn up to a degree. Mostly because it seems she's NOT going to be a romantic interest (I pray to the gaming gods). But also because as far as Video Game girls go:
1: She's almost flat-chested
2: She's a tomboy and can look after herself but still has femininity
3: is not presented as some kind of sex object.
She's still used as a Mcguffin though which annoys the crap out of me.

The comic developed her better for me though. She's actually better rounded there than the games where she doesn't really have much of a personality.

Anyway, point is I like her as a character but if they start pushing for a romance in the series, with ANYONE, I'm gonna have the biggest nerd rage ever and through a brick through the Studio's window.

One convo in the comic that really made me warm up to her was this, when Ratchet is about to walk head first into an obvious trap.

T: If Zogg breaks his word, promise me you'll take the shard and run. Don't waste time trying to use the machines. You just run, ok?

R: I promise.

T: I just got you back.

R: It's only for a couple of hours. Just tell Qwark and Zephyr to hurry ok?

T: Take care of him Clank.

C: I always do.
