It comes once a year, and it never gets easier.It took 7 pictures for me to turn up the emo dial. 8D That's gotta be a record or something. Of what I don't know.
Billy is a pretty clingy guy. When he mopes around he doesn't seem that much clingier than normal, but I'm guessing sometimes if things get a little too 'real' he'd probably revert to 'Pay attention to meeeeee' mode and glue himself to Spencer like crazy. Even if he refuses to talk about junk.
Billy remains tricky to try and shade when he's interacting with Spence since Spencer is solid and Billy... well.... isn't. And is also transparent but only in specific places. It can make it hard to decide how to let Spencer shine through Billy and how much of Billy should be semi-solid.
Used the show's background as reference, but the show doesn't care too much about perspective. So perspective is pretty much nonexistent here.

He often does, actually XD being a ghost means you don't need to worry about bones.
And yeah, the show has things like his legs being super transparent but his face almost having no transparency to it. So it's tricky.

XD also, the way's he's transparent vary from scene to scene and episode to episode, so there really is no wrong way to do it. they usually focus more solidity on the pars of him that will be animated most, like his face so that it's easier to see on the background. at least I'm P.Sure.

It's actually pretty impressive from an animation point of view. Spencer is most definitely animated with a rigg and a BUNCH of replacement drawings. When Billy hovers its clear he's also on a rigg if you look at what floats how it moves. However, I'm willing to bet he's got a LOT more traditional animation going when he moves. When I worked for Alphanim on Green Squad the main kid characters were all rigged but Wifi (the ferret) was all traditional, so I'm guessing they used something similar here. However, if Billy is partially rigged then having a gradient transparency with his legs being most transparent and his head being least, that had to be a pain to pull off.

Yeah. Sadly the studio I was working for when Alphanim contracted us was a disaster. So my work on Greensquad is really sub-standard. (in other words please don't look it up XD;; it's really bad). And don't worry. I'm super unaccomplished too ;____; I'm already 28 and my skill set is nowhere near where it should be. *sobs*

XD well, bad or not, experience is still experience. I just hide away from the world and go to school. (community college) The only thing I've ever experienced is selling groceries for 4 years. Terrible terrible profession. "I never want to work in the public again as long as I live" kind of terrible. Now I'm trying to make enough to pay my bills with my substandard art commissions.

Just keep going dude! I'm working in game animation at the moment which may sound great and important but is REALLY not actually my cup of tea and is very frustrating in many many ways. (I'm someone who makes cartoons. Not games. So it's very hard and not really what I want to do, but I gotta be able to eat!). And I sell my silly fanart pictures at conventions XD;; we're all in the same boat I think. Just in different ways.

I generally just draw whatever I want XD; for a long time I forced myself to only draw for one fanbase, but I realised that was holding me back and was killing my motivation. So these days I just draw whatever I feel like drawing most at that moment. I use to put a lot of pressure on myself to draw insanely huge drawings to. But I've come to decide silly smaller drawings that are fast is fine too. So I've been more eager to draw more for a past couple of years 
I wish I had more time to draw more, actually DX I draw to relax while I watch silly things online (or during my lunch break at work) If I had more time I'd probably draw twice as much as I do
