In which Undyne was prepared for something more dramatic.
I’m sorry this is all there is this update, guys. It’s been a rough week. But relaxing and just doing what I could also showed me how much stress I was putting on myself. And enough of that. Or I’m gonna kill my own drive for this comic.
At least this page isn't meaningless 
There are better ways to build drama and tension than "Let's not talk about it lol"

This is very true XD But I actually think both Sans and Papyrus are equally right here D:
Papyrus is right in being very worried about someone he cares about, and feeling they need to tell him what happened so he can help try and fix it, or do something to help.
And Sans is right that freaking out won't help anything, and it's better to find out what's wrong and how to deal with it, and that getting upset doesn't solve anything.

Fuu, I hate so much the characters not communicating with eachother thing! Makes me mad and the characters seem dumb than anything else. Well most of teh times, there are times when it's acceptable, understandable.

And yeah, it can be understandeable sometimes, but most often I've seen it used is just lazy writing to create drama where there is none. It is also used in every romantic movie EVER to get the couple to break up just before the end of the movie. I hate it so much.

Yes, I don't mind when it makes sense and REAL. but most of the times it's just thrown there, characters not using their brain, jumping into stupid conclusion about their long time firends/loves, not trusting them when they proved themselves over and over again? They look like dumb idiots because of that. Yepp, it's lazy writing! I hate it too! Especially when they shove it into otherwise good stories! XC
I'm watching TrollHunters and I was sooo freaking happy that they didn't do ANY of that! Characters acted reasonable and when the trust issues came, it was reasonable, not just lazy writers messing up. I'm amazed because in kids' show it's just default all the time to create tension. blergh! -.-

But yeah, Sans is that weird combination of being very blunt, but also not embellishing at all. so "I woke up with a cut" isn't wrong, but it could mean anything from a papercut to a foot long gash XD

Awesome; characters actually having dialogue instead of agonizing over assumptions! Honestly, we need more of this in media because silence is the wrong type of drama.

And oooooh jeez I totally agree with you on the characters avoiding explaining things. It's like UUUUGH!!! Communication is so important, WHY WON'T YOU DO IT?!?! Thanks SO MUCH for avoiding that all-too-common trope! 
Edit: Oh, P.S. - The text is awful small. I really think it ought to be bigger so it'll be easier to read, in my opinion.

Ugh I know right??? Honestly it's my biggest pet peeve in media these days because it happens a LOT more than it use to in things like cartoons. And honestly? It's really lazy storytelling. Yes, in this comic Papyrus is angry at Sans for "not telling him how he got hurt" but at the same time, you'll notice I've had Sans very clearly state that he honestly doesn't know what happened and papyrus very clearly state WHY he's upset. There's a misunderstanding, but it's not from lack of communication. It's from Sans being a LIAR the best of times and Papyrus not believing him >.> which is an issue that's gonna take some working out.
As for the text I think you're right :/ Maybe resizing messed up the font size a little. I'll see if I can fix it. I'm stull getting use to the new fonts so I have to use different sizing, spacing, letter-kerning-size, smoothing, etc etc. So I'm still working out what is the best way to show the text. I'll try fix it here and in future pages I'll use a bigger font size. Thanks for the feedback!

Yes, it's canon that Sans hides things and lies, so having that as a concern Papyrus has is perfectly acceptable in this comic. And we all know that Sans has his own reasons for that behavior (trying not to worry his brother, etc). But yeah, when something is straightforward, there's no harm in being straightforward about it.

Hehe, also, that reminds me of an RP me and kaptinkate did with the Undertale brothers in Underfell. They saw how that world's brothers swore at and yelled at each other (even though they actually loved each other), so Papyrus tried to imitate them...
Papyrus giggled, then said, "OH, LET ME TRY!" He then mock-glared at his brother and forced out in what he hoped sounded an angry tone (but barely qualified), "SANS! YOU!... ARE VERY BAD AT PUZZLES!"
"i know," Sans replied with a grin as he kept eating.
Trying to stifle a giggle behind his scowl, and looking and sounding silly in the process, Papyrus retorted, "SANS.. (PFFFT, GRR) YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO YELL AN INSULT BACK (SNORT)."
"nah... too much effort," Sans said with his still lazy grin.

Hehe yeah. He has no problem telling Sans he's lazy or needs to pick up his socks, because he's simply observing facts and trying to motivate his brother... But when he tries to actually insult him on purpose? I figured he'd fall totally flat on that and it'd just end up being awkward and harmless. XD
It's ok, everyone likes their own things. I just like Underfell's potential for angst with my particular headcanons about it.

And that's fine X3 I've never been a fan of AUs in any fandom, so that's just me. I'm a little bothered though, because some people seem to think because I like Undertale I automatically like the AUs. I have no problem with people liking them though
