Description being Bad to the Bone! >v<

This is a new collaboration pic she and I are working on. It is still technically in its very early planning stages, which is why Haya's lineart is just a rough sketch, my colouring is only being used to set up a shade map, and the background is just a collage with various cheap lighting and blending modes applied.

But we hope to eventually turn this concept into a very ambitious and dramatic picture, far better than this sketch/preview. Please wish us luck! ^__^

Everything by Haya and myself is done in MyPaint, except the background which was collaged in GIMP.

lol, I didn't even know you liked my artwork, let alone missed it.

But too late now, my drawing inspiration is lost due to too many bad things happening, and well it probably won't be back for a while. So sorry to say, I'm of no use to you now... le sigh... -.-

But those are some pretty beautiful illustrations though, so you'll have enough to do for a while. ^^

I find it amazing that, in an image that involves all sorts of kickassery - in the form of an adorable bunnygirl dual-wielding a gun and rocket launcher whilst siting atop an awesomely-rendered motorcycle, amid explosions and awesome lighting effects, the thing that makes it all work for me is the tiny C-quel hanging onto Haya's skirt.

This looks really awesome, and to think it's only a WIP! When I saw the thumbnail for this, it looked like a completed work! In fact, at this stage, this could be passed for a completed work, but to go that extra mile is even better!

I did get a glimpse of the current new and improved version and I think it'll definitely do the sketch justice. ^___^b

But still pretty happy I was able to get the colouring done so quickly, although admittedly I cheated by using stock images (and layer blending) for the background.

Well, while Haya is finishing that up, I'm working on my own epic painting, hehe. ^___^

Hehe, you can get the current version 2.7.2 with ppa in Ubuntu ^^
There're already some neat improvements.

Good thing is, mypaint is more simple and as I see, up-to-date with the windows and linux version.

I thing haya uses mostly mypaint for rough sketching and fine outlining, no?

Haya uses MyPaint for just about everything, including the colouring and shading... essentially anything that doesn't require modern image editing (which she handles in Photoshop). She loves it because it's a lot closer to traditional drawing in its simplicity.

The only problem with MyPaint, though, is that it does not have a properly-functional Mac version, and that has been a problem for me with my old Mac friends.
