Description
He's dressed in tattered blue jeans, worn brown combat boots, a Domo T-shirt and a black unzipped hoodie. His hair, like usual is brushed over to cover his eyes and is a dark shade of purple (he has a tendency to dye his hair a different color a day. I mean seriously? A DAY!? And his hair still looks flawless) "What are you staring at?" I faintly hear Katy say over my own thoughts. “I swear you have been acting weird lately..” “Weirder than usual?” I question her with a smile and get a one of her rare smiles in return that lighten up her eyes to almost white. She then follows my gaze to him and wrinkles up her nose “Are you drooling over Author?” I gap at her “Drooling!? Dude, he’s gay!” I hear her laughing after I finish shouting that, “I know! You should have seen the look on your face once I said that,” she snickers more under her breath as I glare up at her. Her smile fades as if remember something “Shit!” was the last word I remember after she grabs my arm and runs at full speed to Mrs.Likshir’s class.Sacramento, California August 16, 2010 Location: Plows High School (Lunch Time)
I stare at my white converse still reliving the moment of shame when Katy and I ran into Mrs.Likshitr’s class a few minutes late, “Lateness means bad grade. Do you want bad grade” I mumble under my breath. “How about I shove your bad grade right up your tight little bubblehead ass?” I sneered. I take a few moments away from myself an observe the surroundings around me and I noticed that most of the lunch area outside is empty while Katy and I eat out nommy Sushi plates. Funny, the lunch area is always packed because the students like the fresh air instead of the crusty air the school gives off. Speaking of Katy I think to myself and look over at her side of the picnic blanket. She’s picking at her Sushi with her chopsticks which isn’t like her. Normally she would of tackled it by now then picked on me for still eating Sushi with a fork, I think to myself. “Katy?” I ask her quietly, she takes a while to respond but finally looks up at me and I notice her eyes have turned a cloudy blue. “Yes Joanna?” She whispers back. I tilt my head to the side feeling the bun I quickly put up this morning fall loose so my hair touched my shoulders. “What’s wrong? You’ve been quiet ever since Mrs.Likshir’s class. You didn’t even get the dorky grin on your face when you saw Jamie walking down the hallway this afternoon.” (Jamie is Katy’s crush since Sophomore year) I watch as she quietly contemplates with herself trying to figure out what to say but after a few minutes she only shrugs which leads me to think that there is DEFINANTLY something wrong. So I flick a piece of sticky rice at her and watches as it lands on her pale narrow nose. I stifle a chuckle when she goes crossed eyed to stare at it. She let’s out a quiet laugh and looks at me “Okay Miss.RiceBall. I’ve just been thinking lately. I mean it’s our last year of High School and we only have 2 months left before we graduate. I guess I’ve just been thinking of the After Affect you know.” I silently nod to myself also wondering what the future has in plan for us as I stare over the empty courtyard again.
