The car crashed in a tree, the airbag didn't work, so Sophie used her arms as protection against the steering wheel. Her arms cracked like matches, even her fingers and wrists are horribly shattered.
Lanas injuries are even worse, she broke every single bone in her body at least once. Her pelvis is badly shattered, her arms and legs both broken nine times, her jaw even fifteen times! She smashed - like the car - at 65 kph into the tree, then fell two meters to the ground, then she rolled down the hill next to the road and was finally stopped by another tree.
Now she has to stay for nearlly a year in a full body cast, completely immobilized, she can't even move a finger or toe. Her only source of alimentation will be a straw, and the most embarrasing thing is the diaper she has got for her needs. The surgeons did not tell her yet that she might have to stay in a wheelchair for the rest of her life.
