Description
A small rabbit got caught in one of our rat traps and was very decomposed, but it's head was still together.I took the time to pull the skin and cartilage off to properly clean the skull. I think it looks neat.
Rabbits are VERY overpopulated where I live and don't have many natural predators, so I don't feel bad. I might be biased in the sense of not feeling bad though because I dislike rabbits.
Edit: Ignore the brat in the comments. Judging by their journals and statuses (assuming they won’t edit/hide them every 5 minutes) they clearly don’t want to listen to anyone’s advice or have a sound discussion. Leave them be.

I actually own a few skulls from animals I’ve found decomposing.
We don’t have many rabbits in my area but this looks amazing!

Hi, please disregard people saying you killed the rabbit. I know you didn't and I have no issue with what happened. I actually collect skulls from already decomposing animals as well, ask I completely understand where you came from. It's sad that I have to apologise for other people's ignorance, but I'm truly sorry you had to deal with them.

Well I have a question then, if that's alright.
If I'm this "morally deranged" "psychopath in the making" (taken from a status post) and people like me "can't grow a conscience or sense of compassion" (taken from the comment you removed earlier),

Ah, yes. I myself tried to kindly explain too them in a nice, gentle way but I have been blocked aswell, I guess some people just straight away judge yah because you use common sense and don't immediately assume things. (AHEM-)

Since he blocked me for supporting people who “needlessly murder animals”, my reply will be posted here, in reply to myself. I am really sorry if this seems petty, but it’s annoying how people will try to completely block out the other side of an argument and still see their argument as valid. Listen to both sides. If you still disagree, then fine. That’s perfectly okay and your opinion is valid! But blocking people makes your argument seem weak, which is just not a good tactic when trying to prove a point.
Not caring that the rabbit is dead paired with the fact that they dislike rabbits does not mean that they wanted to kill it. That is irrelevant to the accusation. The “hating rabbits” thing is more of a side note. They are simply providing an explanation as to why they do not care for the rabbit.
And yes, it is one of their rat traps. However, as I said, it was not intentional. Just because the rabbit was found in a rat trap that just so happened to be theirs, that does not mean that they set the trap with the intent to kill the rabbit. It was just an accident and a coincidence that they don’t care for rabbits.
Just because they accidentally killed an animal does not mean that they are some sort of cold-hearted animal murderer. They didn’t mean to do it. You probably live on planet Earth, so I can safely assume that you have probably accidentally stepped on a bug at some point in your life. That’s fine. It’s not some sort of big horrible murder, it was an unfortunate accident. Sure, it sucks that a life had to end, but it happens sometimes and we just have to move on. It’s not that big of a deal because it was not purposeful.
I know that tone is hard to read in text, but I honestly did not mean to start some sort of argument. You seemed really heated, so I thought maybe you didn’t read that they didn’t go out and just viciously skin a rabbit. I apologize for fueling the fire. The passive aggressive comment was not necessary, but it’s my fault for wording my first message poorly. I’m still sorry if my words come off as rude, I’m just a little bit put off by the fact that simply pointing something out warranted this kind of reaction. I had no ill-intentions and just wanted to let you know that the rabbit was not killed with malicious intent.

I didn't block you because of your argument, I blocked you because you made me uncomfortable. I am well aware of everything the poster wrote and I am also uncomfortable with the fact they have no issue with it because they hate said animal. people who hate dogs shouldn't just post images of dead dogs and be like " i hate them so its cool". also note not everyone is interested in a stupid debate as the goal of a debate is to change someones mind- i know there's no reasoning with animal murderers however and i know no one will change my stance on this either. apology accepted though sorry as well, i am heated and irritated because it appears everyone else is allowed to support the murder of an animal but i'm not allowed to say i'm against it and find it horrible.

We had big rabbit problems where I lived as well.
My Dad kept a "basket of death" where we'd put any dead critters we found to decompose and later we would draw the skulls, feet, ribs etc.
