Twilight set an apple in front of her son. He stared at it with determination as his horn started to glow a brilliant orange. As the apple slowly lifted from the ground, Sunburst could see the excitement in Twilight's eyes. Her eyes twinkled as she watched the apple float. She smiled. "Don't over do it Blue, it's normal to struggle at first."The apple dropped to the ground and Blue looked at his mother. "But at this rate, I'll never be as good as you, mom!" He exclaimed, and tears threatened to fall and Sunburst could almost hear the saddness in his son's voice.
"Shh," Sunburst soothed. "It will take time, but uh, don't strain yourself." He looked up at Twilight. He couldn't stand to see his son so sad. "Why don't you go play with your friends?" Twilight suggested. Blue huffed. "But I wanna practice magic! One more time, please?" He gave her his best puppy dog eyes. Twilight couldn't say no. So they studied and practiced and it did not take long for him to levitate the apple with ease.
