Twilight has been due for a few days. She put herself into the hospital early so there would be no rush when the baby came. Sunburst has been a nervous wreck, making sure that Twilight was comfortable before himself. Twilight awakes to the sound of others. Her parents, Shining, Cadence, and their three children were outside, waiting for the baby. Sunburst was still sound asleep when Twilight felt something and she knew it was time.

It was hard for the new mom. Sunburst panicked before he ran out to get a doctor. It took hours for the new baby to be delivered. A blue foal, with socks like his father. Sunburst could have cried.

Finally the rest of the family was allowed in, as long as the youngest stayed quiet. Twilight's hair was a mess, and she seemed to be sleeping. Sunburst held the foal.

"What's his name?" Shining asked the new father.
"Blue Light"
