>> PLEASE CHECK OUT THE NEWER VERSION! <<EDIT (May 1, 2019): Removed the combat mode thing from the corner since I wasn't gonna use it anyway. Made the background a bit easier to see.
Reference sheet for my drone concept, the neurosentry.
I actually didn't make a big descriptive document this time, mainly because I'm kind of lazy right now and not particularly inspired and I'll probably do it later.
Either way, neurosentries are bootleg knockoffs of the headcleaners, created by an unknown entity attempting to reverse engineer the headcleaner technology. While their bodies are physically restrained, they can still float around and use energy-based limbs known as hand cannons, which can grab things via short range telekinesis, as well as use them to blast beams of energy. In dock mode, their arms disappear and they're forced stuck to a single spot they cannot move from. They were clearly being designed for combat-oriented purposes though the reasons why are unknown.
Unlike headcleaners, they cannot turn back by working off a set number of hours - they're encrypted with randomly generated imprisonment locks that are impossibly cryptic and too multi-layered to decode. The polymorphs created a reversal function that will turn entities back to normal, but it has to be constantly working or else they'll turn back.
Anyway, that's all I got for now. I plan on putting this concept to use in the future. Stay tuned.

What is that brightΒ red on the palette reference for?

In an older version, i had a head down in the corner showing an 'aggressive/attack' mode, which turned the blue lights red. I removed it because it was an anthro head (inconsistent with the human model) and i wasnt big on the agression angle.

Jeez, i imagine someone's trying to build an army of these. Probably a supervillain or some malignant government project with dreams of ruling entire star systems.

They are created by unknown entity, but something is able to command them into dock positions. Who/what is that something? Who controls them? And what do the polymorphs think of someone trying to reverse-engineer their tech?

The lore is still developing, but the general gist is the polymorphs were designed to rehabilitate troubled people from various civilizations so they can learn how to reintegrate. The headcleaner morph acts half as a punishment and half as a psycho-analytical treatment so the polymorphs can properly fix what's wrong with them. Whether or not they're actually good is kind of up in the air for now.
So you can imagine this angering some people, but the headcleaner morph is such an advanced piece of technology that only the polys understand how to use it and reverse it. This has driven some groups of people to try and reverse engineer how it works, but in the process, we end up with a brand new knock-off version from an unknown group that tailors them to their own liking. It's also incredibly easy for neurosentries to turn other people into neurosentries, which is how it spreads.
Or, all this stuff could just as easily change in the future. I'm notorious for constantly changing stuff.
