Description My brain was in serious need of a pep talk today. So I gave it one in the form of this drawing. I think it took me several hours.

Containing a whole host of brainkids from my most influential projects, and a couple from projects yet to be. It also features a quote from one of the brilliant minds that makes PIXAR studios what it is...and one that sets my motivation wheels in overdrive.

Why PIXAR? Well, despite being an independent studio, I feel a great kindredship with the ideals, drive and artistic spirit of those who work there. Their work never fails to impress me on so many levels, the greatest of these being their attention to characters and plot, not letting their graphical capabilities overtake what's really important.

Hopefully, this will be inspiring to others also.

And now, for a little rambling about the projects represented.

---

HoaM - The earliest project given a feature here, now ten years old, "Heart of a Man" spent eight years in development before getting its final release in 2007. It holds a special place in my heart because it is my first published novel, the last revision of which was written in a month.

Pokemon Rebirth - A fan project, yes...but still a very treasured one. Rebirth is the result of many many many long hours of dedication, and my most expansive creation to date (though Outcast Hero is catching up ;D ). It also has the largest character roster of mine to date, and that's not even including the borrowed members!

Number 85 - My first web comic, Number 85 carries with it a lot of memories and glorious mayhem. It's quite unique in that most of its plotline takes place in one building. #85 has since been put to rest.

Outcast Hero - Aaaaah...if anything is my magnum opus, this be it. OH has been one fantastic rollercoaster of a 'guess it as you go along and hope it works' project. Making a movie was one of my childhood dreams, but I never actually thought I'd be doing it! Still, the only thing stopping you fulfilling your dreams is you |-D

W.A.T.S.O.N Your Mind? - While it is hard to choose favourites out of my characters, the cast of WYM comes close to being in that position. I think its the combination of their down-to-earth personalities in a realistic, yet at the same time completely off-the-wall scenario. Still in its early stages, WYM is proving to be a very enjoyable pastime

I wish I remembered to tell you this sooner but >3< BLARGH. I'm going to sound like a total tart but, Gemma you are a great inspiration to me. I'm serious about that. ;w; Your humor, your ambition to work for your dreams, your endless creativity and just your overall attitude and perception towards life... its just amazing. I remember I used to be the laughing stock of my school because I loved Pokemon and just because I loved doing what I loved to do...drawing and creating, but kids my age had a hard time understanding that, soon I began to lose faith in myself and began overhauling projects, . To tell you the truth, you were the very reason I joined DA. Each and every one of your characters and stories are all so ingenious and hilarious yet riveting and charming, Muxlowe being my all-time favourite, yet I love em' all equally. 8D Your nonstop creativity gave me the assurance that it doesn't matter how old you are, nor where you come from, you're never too old to love cartoons and also not to care about what others think , just to enjoy doing what you love to do. I just want to thank you for being so inspirational. Really. Anyways, Keep up the amazing work, Gemma! =3

And Pixar is flipping amazing, all of their films never cease to amaze me D;, I just saw a documentary on the university they have going right now... Its a very very far star to reach but I hope one day when I'm alot more experienced I can maybe go there... I'm definately sure you'd get in, you have something to give this world that it definately needs right now. HEART+HUMOR+GENIUS.

Wow...it always comes as a surprise to hear when I've been someone's inspiration. I can relate to your artistic experiences at school - I was the type of teen was usually found sitting at the back corner desk in the classroom doodling on scraps of paper/my journal/my exercise books. Didn't speak much about my love of Pokemon at school bar one guy I'd sit next to in science class who was usually telling me how much better his Pokemon team was (and he was right, but I've never been that good at the games, really XD )

Thank you so much for the compliments - like it must do for parents with children, so it brings warmth to my heart to find those who appreciate my brainkids and their worlds as much as I do.

Hehee, I had once longed to work at an animation studio. My state of health currently prevents that kind of thing, but maybe it might be possible in the future

I really appreciate you writing to me - as wonderful as it is to generally be able to inspire people in their own creativeness, it's even more special to know when I have done so for any one person in particular...especially those whose artistic progress I have been watching for some time, and who I feel familiarized with. You keep up the great work too!

Maybe we could trade sometime?

This pic is epic, but...why are Caley and Kota so far apart?

Because...they were drawn according to my train of thought? XD;

Pixar may be the inspiration, but you my friend have accomplished something golden for every project you've made! Your artwork shines brilliantly, and your animation flows with the beauty and hilarity! You've done fantastic over the years! Keep pushing forward, Gemma!!!

Keep on following your dreams. Goals are what keep us going in life, and the more you strive to achieve your goals, the more you can look back with a sense of accomplishment in everything you've done.

Again I am proud to be a part of OH's creation, and I will be forever thankful that you have let me join in on your dream of completing it

We can DO IT! ^__^

This picture is extremely shiny.

You're such a great inspiration to me, Gemma - when looking through my deviation inbox, I always save your deviations for last...Because they give me hope. You're acting on your dreams, and I hope to be able to do that someday.

We will always have our friends and the stories we share with 'em. Power your vibes with those you get with others, it's a killer sensation! Lovely group 'o folks here, by the way. That one in the bottom left looks a lot like me, actually.

I think awhile back I came to your profile and posted how much I admired you and such. |D Being the lazy ass I am I won't repeat but instead tell you, that I'm thankful to you: For never giving up, for continuing to try, and for going above and beyond what most of us would've thought was impossible to accomplish, and for giving it you're all. Of all of us dreamers, you're one of the few that stood up and tried to make your dreams come true, not thinking about limiting factors such as impossibility. And I truly look up to that.

You inspire me Gemma
never stop shining.

I know what you mean.
I've always wanted to create amazing artwork and animations. Making a CGI movie is like my dream.

But alas, no animation programs as of yet.
And I get frustrated with new programs, just trying to figure out how to start.

I'm always afraid that I'll give up too soon and miss out on making the greatest stuff that I can.

It took me a year to get over being daunted by Flash's complicated interface, so I can relate there.

Random dabbling helps, weaved with the occasional tutorial...but mostly trial and error in my case XD

Sweet, so I'm not the only one.

I've wanted to try Flash for awhile now. But I'm extremely intimidated by such things.
I usually go with Trial and Error, then get frustrated and give up.

Aah, this is great. I wish someday I can have even a tiny bit of the effect that you've had on everyone here, and to get some projects done such as yours. And character lists are great.

So many things I want to say but I don't know how. So instead I'll fave it and say this:

You are a geuninley awesome and ispirational person yourself and motivate me to try harder. Your humor reminds me to stay up even when I'm down, You've kept me in a fandom i was almost bullied out of, you gave me a part in actually helping a much aniticipated project of yours move closer to completion, and have been an awesome friend.
