Got my haul from Norway today: my own weight in stones, twigs, things and shells.

I adore shells. Shells are... just so beautiful. I could pick all of them.

We were sleeping a few hours away from Andenes with a beach you could walk to. And being the child I am I had to go there and play.

That's where I found this stunning-breathtaking-super-awesome-amazing shells. I have absolutely no idea how the species is called or how they look and live whilst being alive....

But look at those glowing stripes! They change with daylight a bit and seem to sparkle. I was so afraid they would just vanish when they dry and was anxious to open the bag where I stored them.

And here they are. Safe and sound and beautiful.

They bring so much joy eventhough I don't know anything about them.

Maybe one of you knows their name or at least the planet they came from?

I found a fitting ID! It is a blue rayed limpet or
Patella pellucida!
