Description
Thanks for stopping by to check out this newest Apophysis script release. As can be seen, this one is called 'Whirlpool'. Like Pillars and Halo before it, this script is animation controlled, but admittedly it's not as versatile. Actually, that's probably because it's the predecessor of the other 2 scripts. I created this script because I didn't like how unpredictable other spiral scripts are (sometimes the work, most of the time I find they just completely screw up the fractal). I personally don't have much advice for this one, except perhaps that you should be quick with the spacebar to stop it when you see something you like.
Now here are some examples of what I've created:

Now let's get the beta testers' impressions!
one-tough-one [link] said:
"I thought it was a really good script...
Very easy to use and made some interesting fractals...
My tips on this would be to try using negative numbers and just play...
Also if you mess with the 2nd and 3rd triangle or with the last 4 (32-36) you can get some interesting things
going on

LadyLyonesse [link] made the following remarks:
"I have had some reservations about this script. I found it to have a very similar effect as the Destiny script.
Rather rigid, limited in scope. Pillars was far better.
Below are the variables I thought worked best.
Variables
Scale 0.2 - 0.9
Rotation 2 - 10
Weight 0.3 - 9
Some of the plastics work OK, as well as most of the randoms generated by Apo. Unfortunately, it seems that flames based on a 'circular' script, such as spirals, julias, discs, dragon or fairy eggs didn't give me too much.
I also had problems combining it with other scripts, whereas most of your other work I could add script upon script."
(Note: She has some very valid criticisms here, so you should be aware of them when using the script.)

The newest tester, LadyBlacksword [link] sent me the following assessment:
"I prefer Apophysis z+beta2, so this is based of how Whirlpool works with that.
If you like "line spirals" this one is very addictive.
It works best with flames that have defined shapes already. I got some really cool results when using this script after using ToAPP's tubes script. I found the stock input numbers to be just about perfect, but found that you'll need to play with the "transform color" settings on transforms 1 thru 3 if you don't like the flat look. Also, don't move anything except transforms 1/2/3 unless you want a hazy mess, as with most spiral based scripts. Aside from that, this is a very flexible script, despite the fact that it seemingly just makes line spirals. As usual with any script by CabinTom, the animation based interface gives you a ton of control, and if you don't get what you want on the first shot, you can hit the undo button and try again, as it's effects will turn out the same every time if you start with the same flame."

I have no clue wheere the shape came from...but I'll go with it! Just love this script...it is awesome as are many of your other scripts. You are very good at making them. I would not mind being one of your testers....if you need or are looking for one.

I'll keep you in mind if I ever need a replacement or if I get even more behind in the number of scripts that need to be tested.
