Personality:
His resting face is one of disbelief, or annoyance. But once interacted with, he's more commonly described as lame, caring and silly. He doesn't talk a lot about his past, and is more likely to awkwardly change the subject before it gets too heavy for him. It's not as if he's actively trying to hide his past though, and if someone earnestly asks him about it, he will answer.
He easily gets obsessed with thing, his current obsession is everything related to the game Overwatch, but he'll subtly include any sort of fandom into his appearance, be it a bracelet or a sweater. Don't ask him about the obsessions unless you want to be sat down for a hour long discussion about all things related to said obsession. He will however respect you if you politely ask him to shut up.

Background:
Kane grew up with only his dad, who firmly believed in vampires living among humans as peacefully as possible, he taught Kane how to survive without shedding human blood.
If it had been up to Kane's dad they would have lived together forever, if only so he could make sure Kane was safe. However Kane had enough of it once he turned 20, and he promptly moved out.
Using sites like craigslist he found his first place, which he shared with 5 other youngsters. However, he got tired of finding unwashed dishes stashed away in corners after 4 months and moved out again, this time he ended up with one roommate, who would kick him out after a year, wanting his girlfriend to move in instead. After similar apartment-hopping for 4 years he finally found out about Indieville and decided to settle down there, having saved up enough money to get by for a while through his various jobs. As for now, he doesn't have a long term plan except to stay afloat and remain in Indieville.
