wow Jade o_o that's so awsome! The shading is so soft and i love the shiny fur. I must say this is your best shading ever 8) Really great work!
btw, i don't think it's to bright. Actually, it could have been brighter (; But one thing i think would fit in with the shiny stuff and all.. some light details in the eye would be neat!

Anyways, I can't help but REALLY love how the character is positioned in the middle of the hill and how the grass area has a slight slope to it. The perspective on it is quite nice <83

This certainly is more bright, but it works. I don't think I could choose which style I prefer, like ~Jadefuzz said, it depends what kind of picture you're creating/mood you want.

I think that this shading/lighting style is better for brighter scenes, but your other style is better for darker scenes, if you know what I mean XD
