I have chinchillas and rabbits as well as the reptiles, and it is SUCH a hassel to wash every single time you're going in between. >< The purell hand sanitizer is my friend.

I think I might've already said this, but, when I get my own ball python, I'm naming him George. I might get a granite burmese python too, depending on what I find out about them care and temperment wise, and name her Sadie.

Sadie is a good name for a burm, but I would definitely start with something smaller first just to be on the safe side. I wanted a burm for a long time too, but my boa (lol my "starter" snake) is already 6 feet long, and FEMALE so she'll be like, nine to eleven feet long when she's done growing, and I'm starting to see why snakes much bigger than that can be dangerous, even when they're sweet. My boa, Oolong, only weighs about 11 pounds now, and she's just as sweet as a snake can possibly be, but she's SOOO strong, even now, that handling her needs 100% attention. Of course that's not to say it's not a good idea to have a burm, plenty of people do, and absolutely love them. THey're SOO pretty and temperment-wise they're very gentle for pythons.

True, the bigger they get the stronger they get... Part of why I haven't decided yet.. What's the point of owning a snake that big if you can't hold it? Kinda defeats the purpose of having a pet. Burmese pythons are beautiful, but I dunno, I kind of feel like they should be left in the wild. People shouldn't even have reticulated pythons for pets, they are WAY to dangerous. The other thing with me is cleaning the cages, cause it's gotta be done everyday and I'm a lazy-ish person... Maybe not the right snake for me, ball python might be plenty.

I just love snakes so damned much! I also heard that a lot of the world calls them royal pythons, as well. I kind of like royal or king python better, ball python sounds kind of childish.
