the part where care curses was really jarring but perhaps even more unsettling was the extremely low text scroll sound effect that accompanied it, one we had never heard in the game before.

then after some hesitation paul goes UMM. and then explains the game quoted him from about a year ago. personally i think jill was messing with him, she tried to take the game for herself as well as the "discovery pages" which can refer to either the Petscop discovery pages website or the literal pieces of paper paul had with him while playing that contained all his notes. you hear him shuffling pages around during his recordings and he explains he's drawn maps etc... jill, what did you do? she probably wanted it all for herself, she stole it all from him or hid it so he wouldn't find any more family secrets. but then she got a better, more nefarious idea.....she n the family held paul captive and forced him to keep playing so he could be their vehicle for discovering more info rainer left in the game. how evil, how chilling!
