The Pit and the Pendulum
A man is in jail he drifts in and out of consciousness. He then finds himself straped on a platform with a pendulum blade hanging above. He finds a way out by a unusual rescue.

But I read the magazine
And know it must be true
It could happen to me
It could happen to you
Just as this planet we live on
Is spinning round and blue
Am running out of time
Wanting to spend a dime
Missing papers on isle four
For everyone has made the score
Must run the race to the door
Or else be nevermore
Now am singing the birthday song
Every 30 seconds with no delays
Washing my hands together
To be strong and no never forget
To put on mask of yesterday glue
And hope to be safe as the morning dew
