As the race goes on around the blue orb
Many hours I think about you
wish you were here to share this view

Last night I saw a shooting star
Wishing you the best where ever you are

As I glaze into the night
with the moon oh so bright

I wonder where you are tonight
Far across the sea and beyond
The next day’s setting sun

The stars are falling at my feet
Oh, I wish you were here
To see this special treat

tears are falling from the moon
I wish could make her happy
Perhaps if you were here, you could

Sitting and waiting thinking of you
Wish you were here besides me
Watching the sky and the twinkle in your eye
