About: Chickadee Darling comes from a long line of successful thoroughbreds in both the racing and eventing scenes. Her sire recently competed in the 3* event Tuscan Challenge 3DE, and both her sire's sire and dam's sire have competed at the CSI5* level at HCL. Chickadee is still quite a green mare, but she shows plenty of promise as a potential competitive eventer. She has an impressively large stride and a lovely scope. She does have the tendency to become quite stubborn and hot-headed, and is susceptible to having a one-track mind. When coming across such blockages, it has been found best to refocus the mare rather than fight her. Chickadee loves to jump, but can easily become hyper focused and ignore rider cues in order to jump the nearest obstacle - Kingston Park recommends that her new owner spends plenty of time working on this. She's a kind mare with a major sweet tooth (she loves sugar cubes!) and gets along well with other horses. She prefers being outside rather than stabled, and tends to become a little antsy after being kept indoors for too long.
