Description
art block vanished so i managed to whip this up in *checks watch* 2 hours! my fastest piece ever? and it's actually quite pretty too! i spent hours yesterday looking through my favourites in search of some inspiration to draw something (anything!) and after downloading some brand spanking new brush packs (and having a good long sleep), i art vomited onto the page and voila! *flourishes*today we are taking a break from Jo's equine rehab adventures as we give a belated welcome to the itty bitty destroyer of worlds, fabio! he is here, he has arrived, and there Will be consequences.
UPDATE: I decided to make this an official side-story for the Currawong Estate plot seeing as it deviates from the Jo's Rescue theme from the first two chapters. prepare for more fabio shenanigans!
The Fabio Saga: Chapter 1 - Everyone's Problem
"good morning everyone, god has let me live another day and i'm about to make it everyone's problem" ~ fabio, probably

A sharp snort of laughter escaped Victoria's mouth as she read through the information regarding the most recent Australian Warmblood import. The horse sounded like a disaster - below the breed standard in every way, shape and form, and with an attitude as big as his ridiculously huge mane and tail. No wonder the silver bay was gelded. There was no way any sane person would breed that thing!
"I pity the poor sucker who ends up with that little monster", she muttered to herself, chuckling under her breath.

Tori hummed a tune to herself as she brushed Duke's glossy bay coat. They had just finished a run of the estate's cross country course and had escaped from the cool air into the stables to clean up. Although most of Australia was still fairly warm, the Eastern Highlands had been thoroughly plunged into winter, with snow falling every other day. Most of the paddocks had turned to snowy slush and a majority of the estate's horses spent their time indoors whenever possible. Today was no exception! During their ride, a fresh dusting of snow had begun to fall. Victoria wondered how long it would take for Taylors Creek to freeze over. Last winter it didn't turn to ice until mid-July!
The rap of knuckles on wood drew her attention as she looked to see her boss, Rhea, leaning on the stall door. "Oh, hi, what's up?" She asked curiously, pausing in her grooming. Rhea smiled her mischievous grin that always preceded chaotic shenanigans, and Tori felt her stomach sink. Uh oh. "Nothing much. I do have something I need to show you, though," the blonde chimed cheerfully, "follow me!"

"No. No no no absolutely not. Rhea what is this? I can't look after another horse! I already have Duke and Trou Du Diable, and Diable is enough of a handful as it is. I cannot take on this little monster horse as well," Victoria ranted as she watched the silver bay gelding trot around the snowy paddock. I cannot believe Rhea bought this disaster of a horse! What was she thinking?
"Relax," Rhea said, "he's not for you." The red-head let out a relieved sigh. Thank god. "He's for you sister!" NEVERMIND!
"You can't be serious," she exclaimed. "I read that horse's biography. There's no way known Nessa could handle him. He will gallop all over her."
Her boss hummed disapprovingly. "You underestimate that girl, just like you're underestimating that Australian Warmblood. I have heard that he's quite the jumper, and he's exactly what Nessa needs to further her riding skills. Trust me on this, Victoria. I know what I'm doing."
Tori let out a defeated sigh. "Alright, boss. We'll try it out."

A few hours later, Fabio and Nessa stood together in the gelding's new stall, Rhea and Victoria watching from the door. It was a nightmare getting the small horse inside - he threw a tantrum every few strides and managed to get mud absolutely everywhere. However, upon introduction to 16-year-old Nessa, it was as if the beast had been tamed (although perhaps that had something to do with the sugar cubes the teen fed him).
Tori had the feeling that her boss was right. Maybe Fabio was perfect for her sister.
