Emerging from the data portal, a thin figure dressed all in black entered the white room, giving Naminé a startle. The blond girl stiffened, then relaxed once she recognized the entity.

"Have you seen Riku anywhere?"

Naminé sighed, setting down her sketchbook on the table and standing up, "Xion, I'm sorry. I can't leave here and he hasn't shown up."

"But isn't there some way that you can find him? Please, Naminé!" Xion pleaded, taking a half-step forward, her hands coiled into fists.

The white-clad artist shook her head. "I'm sorry."

Xion let out a groan, leaning her head back and letting her hood fall away to reveal black hair in a style stunningly similar Kairi's. "I've gotta keep looking. I've got to. He's got to be around here somewhere. He might…"

Naminé sat back down on her lavender chair, picking up her sketchbook again. She browsed through her sketches and then was slightly caught off guard by a picture of the black-haired girl and Riku together on the Destiny Islands. She turned to look back at Xion, but she had already left.

"So, that's why. You love him, don't you?" Naminé traced the edge of the paper with her left hand, "Xion, he won't…"

Xion soon found herself on the Destiny Islands, where she had told Riku her feelings. She smiled upon recalling the memory, feeling some of her uncertainty wash away. She walked towards the beach. The sunset was starting to fade into starlit night. She crossed her arms over her chest.

"I wonder where you are, Riku…" She hummed to herself. She heard the hum of a portal opening and turned, thinking 'Please, please let it be him…'

A figure stepped out, dressed in the same black cloak as Xion. The girl's brows furrowed as she looked over the figure, doubt appearing in her mind. She bit her lip. This figure was shorter, and thinner than the Riku she knew. The figure removed his hood, revealing shoulder-length silver hair and the sea-foam eyes that were always hidden from her. 'It IS him!' She thought, 'It has to be!'

She ran towards the boy, calling out, "Riku!!"

The silver-haired boy's eyes widened in surprise, "K… Kairi?"

The name stopped Xion in her tracks. She stood straight, looking at Riku in surprise. "No, Riku, it's me!"

His eyebrows furrowed, taking in the black-haired girl's appearance. 'Did Kairi dye her hair? And why is she wearing the same cloak as me? I thought that…' Xion's eyes widened in horror when she didn't see any sign of recognition.

"Riku, please… It's me, Xion… Don't you remember me?" She pleaded, fighting back tears that were starting to well up.
"Xion…?" He said slowly, running a hand through his hair, "I don't know anyone by that name."

The black-haired girl inhaled sharply, trying not to cry out. She held her hand about where her heart should be, as if she could prevent something like that from breaking. "C-c'mon Riku! Please! Please, I-"

"Who are you?"

Those words were enough to bring the replica to her knees, now just about in tears.

Naminé sighed, learning of what was happening through new drawings that she had doodled. She set down her pencil as she finished the last image, Xion on her knees, sobbing. She shut her sketchbook and ran her hands through her hair, near tears herself.

"What have I done to her?" She said, trying to breathe evenly. "This… This is about finding why their memories were lost, right…? I… After all I've done, why can't I…? Can't I give her something back?"

With that, Naminé took up her sketchbook again, drawing furiously the lost memories of the black haired girl that she'd erased all traces of.

Attempting to regain a little shred of composure, Xion stood up and brushed the sand off her cloak. She bit her lip, not wanting to look at the boy in front of her. 'I should've known that he wouldn't remember. After all, Roxas and Axel probably don't either…' She thought, wiping away her tears.

"Xi…on…" He said her name slowly, as if drawing something from it, like something he lost.

The black-haired girl lifted her head at the sound of her name. "… Riku?"

"Xion." He said the name now with almost a realization, a recollection.

His eyes widened. He ran forward, embracing her and holding her tight. Xion stiffened a little, but returned the gesture.

"So… You do remember me after all…" She said softly.

"Of course, how could I forget someone I love?"
