Speaking of which, what happened to AmberΒ΄s horse after Cinder attacked her?
Like, seriously, she had the horse when she showed up, but when Cinder, Mercury and Emerald attack her, the horse just disappeared.
Also, other than Zwei and AmberΒ΄s horse, have we ever seen any animals in RWBY?

There's been birds in the background on occasion. I imagine animals don't last too long in the wild, with the Grimm.

Well, it has been implied that Grimm only attack humans and faunus, so maybe thereΒ΄s another reason why we havenΒ΄t seen that many animals.
