Description
This is my first custom blind bag figure, and I couldn't be happier with the result. The proper english term is Derring Do, so that's what I'm going to go with. Indiana Jones pony is best pony.The base is a Rainbow Dash/Fluttershy. She's painted with acrylic paint and sealed with acrylic matte spray. The hat is made of super sculpey and is removable. The little notches near the ears keep the hat in place.
Also, the spelling is INTENTIONAL. Read up about the history of the phrase "derring do": [link]
Even though the book cover looks like Daring Do, I respect the English phrasing. Errol Flynn is awesome and technically, it was their language first. Also, I'm too lazy to change the picture.

Fantastic work. I hope you don't mind me having referenced your version when I did my own seen here . If I might ask, just what, if any, special tools/techniques do you use when handling Sculpey. Four years in art college and that stuff is still a pain for me to handle without screwing up the shape before baking it.

What kind of sculpey are you using? If you're having trouble keeping forms I would go for the super sculpey or sculpey firm. I personally use the super sculpey for my pony sculpts.

Sculpey 3 is what I have on hand at the moment. Next time I'm at the hobby shop I'll keep an eye peeled for Super instead. Of course there's always online hopping I suppose.

Keep looking for it in stores. Ordering clay online is tricky because it can be affected by temperature, so it's best to get it in a store because you can squish it a little and tell how functional it is.

Yes, the original phrase is "derring-do". They intentionally changed it to "Daring Do" for the character's name, ergo that's what should be used when referring to the character.
