This one just DID NOT want to photograph well! The bright orange always throws things off a little, then add the shimmer gold paint and you're looking at an exposure nightmare. Forgive the darkness, it was the only pic I thought showed off the details best.
I worked on this one for a good long while, I kept running into technical difficulties with the sculpt, the base and legs kept getting damaged during work but I am very happy with the way he turned out. I really like Flash Sentry's design, I'm a sucker for complimentary color schemes, plus the sweet armor. I hope he pops up somewhere in season 4!
Flash Sentry is made of super sculpey and sculpey firm over a wire and foil armature, painted with acrylics, and sealed with matte acrylic spray. He stands at 6 1/2 inches tall.Β

Princess Cadence and Twilight's brother got to have a wedding, and then a kingdom, and that storyline stuck, so I think they should let Twilight get to know Flash Sentry. I hope they do in the upcoming seasons..He seems like a very relaxed guy, willing to lend a quiet helping hand not for the fame, just to help. He'd make a cool friend whenever she needs help in the palace with princess duties, maybe when her other friends aren't around. Anyway this sculpt is incredible considering his scant appearance in the movie.Β Β

I really think that this character is a step back for mlp.

I didn't like the implications of a love interest either, if he does become a regular character that would change the whole dynamic of the Mane 6. He does have a cool design though.
