Description After the unveiling of the Spaceworld 1997 Demo ROM and datamining it, I cherrypicked the sprites that I liked most for the fronts and backs and fixed them into this sheet; I also used sprites that I honestly thought were still good from the Green Version.Β  I really hope someone can make a ROM hack with these sprites for Red/Blue.

I don’t understand why they had to make the back sprites look like actual shit in those games. Your renditions would have been a lot more passable. I can actually tell what each pokemon looks like. Some of them even look pretty cool.

Thanks, but I didn't make them.Β  They were taken from the Spaceworld 1997 demo of Gold/Silver and they look infinitely better than the crappy back sprites the Green/Red/Blue/Yellow versions had.Β  Why they did it is because they actually made small versions of their backs, but magnified them larger and that's why they're so blocky.Β  I call it laziness.

Wow. Why would they dump a bunch of capable backsprites for a bunch of horse shit?... gamefreak, you amaze me.

You got me there.Β  At least with this I hope that wrong can be made right with someone capable of making a good ROM hack of these better sprites all throughout.

Also i hope someone get to program the rest of the Beta demo, i know its not easy, also i did a video review that passing over the NPC that made reset the game there are some routes with wild pokemon programmed. Also maybe when i get time i might do a ROM hack with theses sprites but i would need a program for GB replacing sprites and also made tradeable pokemons evolve by level, still i need to find GB tools

Also to give you a stronger grasp of what that hacker did, here's a video for it.

I remember there was someone on ROMHacking.net that made the Colorized Pokemon Red, and he said he did sprite replacements using ASM.
The only other thing that I think would look best for such a ROM hack is to change the battle screen as well by using the same frames and HP/exp bars the Pokemon have.
Here are some samples I mocked up.

Interesting, and i cant find the ASM program, i wish there were a program to replace sprites easily like a GBA sprite replacer, i was remaking a hackrom that has Pokegods and stuff like a year and half but ive put it hiatus maybe cancelled the remake of it because its hard to set up the correct color palettes and i was the only reworking on it with creator's permission.

Also that looks great.
