Description Ugh! I so hope that this turns out right. Please let me know if it downloads okay.

I know that 656 gradients is a lot and you will find several similar gradients, but each one has a unique band width to explore. Pastel gradients do well with a high gamma (4 or 5). The darker gradients do well with a low gamma. I can't wait to see how you employ them

That's wonderful!!! I love the pale shades of red and the black color combinations. I can't wait to see your newest prints!

Some very nice gradients here - I couldn't resist doing a preview [link] Feel free to include in the download should you wish. Also, I've compiled the files into a single .ugr, if that would be of any use...

Cadmonia In reply to IDeviant [2010-10-25 20:09:13 +0000 UTC]

Thank you. I did not know how to compile them in this fashion.

IDeviant In reply to Cadmonia [2010-10-26 08:16:29 +0000 UTC]

When you save the gradient, the dialogue box has 2 fields: the first, 'File name', is for the name of the actual .ugr file, which may hold any number of gradients; the second, 'Title', is for the name of the individual gradient - see here [link] The advantage in this method is that all gradients are visible by simple scrolling rather than having to invoke the gradient browser each time.

For reasons that now elude me, I'd developed a method of merging text files, so this was a good excuse to test it out!

OMG, Cadmonia...
what an awesomely abundant collection...
it is really helpful that they are alphabetized in the folder, so once we get to know them, we'll have no trouble finding our favorites from the 656 of them!!!
so it fine that you didn't categorize them!!
you are SOOOOOOOOOOO generous!!
thank you!!!

When you said there would be plenty I never in my mind thought in the hundreds. OK Here we go Thank yo Cadmonia, I know how hard you worked on this to make it. Nice feeling, no? Bravo on a job well done.

Cadmonia In reply to skyzyk [2010-10-19 21:42:48 +0000 UTC]

I only wished I could have separated them out by some sort of category, but by the time I thought about it, it was really too late. Oh well. I use the same gradient pack now since I deleted all of the images used to make it. I don't need a nice feeling. I just want others to discover the thrill of finding that perfect gradient for the perfect design. For all art should be considered perfect to the artist who created it. Enjoy.
