I guess you had to be an underground comic fan of the 80's and 90's to get the appeal of OBVIOUSLY over-the-top hairmetal and Heavy Metal magazine inspired post-civilization dude-bro fantasy. It's not cliched it's nostalgic. Like Cadillacs and Dinosaurs.

Think how Unique that trait is in an artist. I can't think the way he does but his work lets me look through his eyes. Besides, advanced weapony is where half of America's cool points come from abroad. (i.e. Nukes)The USSR was no better or worse than most superpowers.
