Description
This blaster was created for entry into the Steampunk Gun Club (Facebook) Steampunk Rococo Gun Challenge (Plastic and Paint Division).________________________________________________________
As you can see at the bottom of the image, I started out with a BuzzBee toys Pirate Blaster.
From there I ripped out all of the foam dart blaster internals except the trigger mechanism, then installed a modified 2 AA battery compartment, a switch and an ultra bright tri color LED mounted to the back end of a vacuum tube.
From there I started working on the external Rococo styling, hand sculpted from Apoxi Scultp epoxy putty. I add a little voltage meter opposite the flintlock hammer, then primed the whole thing in black with spray paint. The metallic sections were done with Rub N Buff, followed by the purple which was done with Vallejo Acrylic model paint. I then did some shading with Citadel brand wash. Then the whole thing was sealed using AMACO all purpose sealer.

AA battery compartment (2)

Not technically NERF, Buzz Bee brand. It cool though cause it's almost exactly to scale for a real flintlock.

I was looking for a toy flintlock for a prop replica I wanted to make from the movie "Babes In Toyland". the Prop was called a Poof Gun.

Wow, Babes in Toyland. That's a deep cut. I didn't think anyone had really watched that. I've only seen small sections of it on Youtube. I suppose it was just a product of it's time though.
