Description
"Do a cookie cutter shark!" She said. "You could put a chef's hat on him!" So I didAs ever red draughting pencil, mixed markers and Prismacolor pencils on tinted paper.
You know one of these days I'll actually manage to do one of these in the middle of the page so it fits on the paper properly and doesn't start falling off the edges

Yes but they mostly do it to dolphins and other large aquatic animals. They bite you and take a cookie shaped chunk out of you.

Can the dolphins or whales or even people feel it? Or is a cookie cutter shark so tiny compared to the dolphin are other animal but it is like a person getting bit by a mosquito?

cookiecutter shaks are l a little bigger than that, basically a remora with razor sharp teeth.

They're mostly deepwater pelagic sharks so the likelihood is slim. I don't know if there's a recorded instance of them biting.

Seems like it would hurt if they bit.

And you'd have a nice prefectly circular scar.

Very unusual. I wouldn't normally think that they were close enough to shore to be a problem.

Maybe they are sick or something? Several types of fish and aquatic species don't come to shallow waters unless they are sick or dying like oarfish, frilled sharks and giant squids.

Possible. Sick animals don't tend to feed though. Could just be a change in the currents bringing deeper water species closer to shore or maybe they spend more time closer inshore than we think. Or it could be those places where it's happened are close to a deepwater shelf edge. Places like Hawaii tend to have deeper species quite close in.

Possible but it would need to be a cooling rather than warming.

Climate change is what I meant. People use the term "global warming" despite the fact some places are getting colder.

Yeah, Global Warming hasn't been used as a scientific term for decades.

The only source of current events information I had for YEARS was Fox News and they used the term "global warming". But this was Fox News and they were journalists, not scientists.Β

I'd be dubious with using the word "journalists" as well with Fox

My mom made me delete my DA account once becauseΒ she heard about a girl who met someone via DA and he raped her. I was always kinda vague about where I lived and only listed the US or Ohio. I never explicitlyΒ stated I lived at 123 SpecificΒ Street.
