You looked out if the window of your class, it was raining. You sighed. It was the last class you had today and the rain just poured down. It’s not going to stop sooner. The thing was you forgot to bring your umbrella and you had to ask one of your friends to share her umbrella with you.

When the bell rang, all students went out of the class and started to go home one by one, with their own umbrellas. You looked for someone to share with you.

The first one you saw was Eliza. You approached her and asked her. She replied that she also forgot and wanted to go home with her boyfriend, Roderich. Second you asked Bella but she went home with his brother and so did Lily.

You huffed as you had to wait for the rain to stop now. You went inside the building and your eyes quickly lay on that man, your crush, Arthur Kirkland. He was preparing his umbrella when he locked eyes with you. You unconsciously looked away and you felt your face heated.

It seemed he noticed your blush and instead of ignoring you, he walked toward you. You knew he was getting closer and you wanted to just run away or disappear like a ninja if you could. However, you didn’t move a bit from your spot like you didn’t have legs to walk with.

“(Name), you’re not going home?” he asked.

“U-um I uh.. I f-forgot my umbrella, s-so I have to wait a bit,” you stuttered. You mentally wanted to hit yourself for stuttering like that. He’s going to think you’re weird. When you glanced at him, you could see him smile and you blushed madly again. That smile of his made your heart beat faster and you felt your whole body was red now. You really loved his smile. You loved everything about him ever since you could remember. His smile, his hair, his whole appearance, his attitude and of course his gentleman side.

“(name)... (name) are you there?”

It snapped you out of your thought. “Oh, yes I’m here. So... maybe I’ll go to the library right now,” you said and ready to walk when he suddenly grabbed you wrist and said, “Wait!” You turned to face him. His face was rather darkened but maybe it’s because of the weather.

“Yes?” you replied.

“Uh... I’m wondering if... you want to go home with me...?” he said with small voice but still audible for you. Silence came before your responded, “Excuse me?”

“W-well, you seem to forget your umbrella and your house is the same way as mine so... do you want to share with me?”he asked.

You felt like flying when you listened to every of his words. Your crush asked you if you wanted to share umbrella with him! Well you had to gain your composure again before he asked anything weird.

“Well, if you don’t mind then thank you,” you replied.

And so Arthur and you finally went outside together and shared the umbrella. He held the umbrella and you walked beside him.

The whole trip was silence. You would glance at him once in a while but no conversation was made.. After a long slow walk in the rain, you noticed that you had to part ways with him on the next turn. You once heard from your friend about his house whereabout. You prepared yourself to part ways with him.

When the time came, you put on your hoodie and said, “Arthur, my house is this way,” you pointed, “Thank you for sharing the umbrella.” And you ran off his side to your road, hoping to get home quickly as it was not that far from there.

However, something prevented you from going and it was him. “Hey, what do you think you’re doing?!”

“Huh?”

You turned your body and found him grabbed your arm without his umbrella that he was soaked from the rain. “What are you doing?” you asked, confused of why he did it.

“That’s my line. What are you thinking running in the rain like this?”

“Because my house is this way and your house is.. that way from what I heard,” you answered innocently.

“That’s not the point, you’ll be sick like this! You must have told me!”

You flinched as he raised his voice toward you. You were silence while the rain didn’t stop to soak the both of you. Arthur’s eyesbrows furrowed for he felt guilty for yelling at you now. “L-let’s go to my house for now. We’re almost there,” he said and he took his umbrella again and you walked to his house.

When you arrived, you didn’t believe what was in front of you. His house would be a mansion if you had to describe it. It was so big, well you also heard he was one of the sons of the richest person in the town. You kept your amazement and entered his house. Inside, when you were amazed by the interior, he went, leaving you and returned with towels in his hand. He gave two to you and told you to take a shower before you caught a cold.

“The bathroom is in that hallway in the corner then you turn left. I’ll prepare a change for you. Just go,” he said and he went upstairs. You went to the bathroom with random thoughts. But you tried to shove them off. You entered the bathroom and enjoyed the warmth water. In the middle of your relaxation, he knocked the door and said, “(name) I put your change here.” You replied with a quick okay.

After you had done and wore the clothes, which you found was girl’s clothing, you went outside and saw Arthur was leaning on the wall. He had changed his clothes to a simple white T-shirt and jeans, but his hair was still wet. He covered his wet hair with a small towel. He lifted his head as he heard you opened the door and smiled, “Let’s go to the living room. I’ll make you tea.” Then you followed him to the living room and waited there until he came back with two cups of tea.

The room was filled with awkward silence as you two sipped your tea. You sipped it bit by bit as you felt guilty for making him soaked earlier. You wanted to apologize but your mouth didn’t let you. You put down the cup and stared at him from the tip of your eyes. Suddenly you felt cold wind and shivered.

You quickly hugged yourself to warm yourself and scrubbed your hands to your arms. Arthur noticed your action and stood. He walked upstairs and came back with some sheets of blanket and put them on the couch beside you. He took one and wrapped it around you, “Just tell me if you still feel cold.”

When you wanted to hold the blanket with your hands, you accidentally touched his hands and they were as cold as ice for you. “Arthur, your hands!” you exclaimed. “Hm?” was his reply. “They were cold. You have to warm yourself!” you said, holding his cold hands in yours.

“I-it’s alright, love. I’m used to it.”

“No! You can’t!” you said a bit loud. “I… this is my fault for making you like this. I can’t let you…” you stood and wrapped the blanket surround his shoulder, “Just sit with me for now, Arthur. I don’t want you to be sick because of me.”

He didn’t say anything and just nodded as he sat beside you and let the blanket brought the warmth. At least you had to do something for him.

You stayed like that for half an hour until Arthur called your name. “What is it?”

“I… apologized for yelling at you earlier, (name). I don’t mean to yell like that.”

“N-no, it’s alright. It’s my fault after all. You don’t have to be sorry,” you said.

He sighed and smiled, “Thanks for forgiving me… but it’s not all your fault. I’m also at fault for not knowing your house and just ask you to go home together.”

You giggled and replied, “It’s okay, really. I’m relieved that you’re not angry at me…”

He chuckled, “There’s no way I can be angry at you…”

Your brain took some seconds to process his words and you asked, “Why?”

You looked at his face and saw his fair skin was rather pink as he looked away, avoiding eye contact with you. You raised a brow at his behavior. You never saw him like this at school. “Hey, your face is red. Do you have a fever?” you actually started to panic and put your hand on his forehead. He faced you and moved your hand from his forehead, “No, I’m fine, really, it’s just…”

“Just what?” you brought your face in front of his and his face became redder if what you saw was right.

Suddenly he leaned in and kissed you right on the lips. You were surprised by his action and the fact that his lips were also cold. However it was, you kissed him back and after some seconds, both of you pulled back, faces red.

Arthur took your hand and pressed it against his cheeks, “I love you, (name)…”

You heard him and when you saw his eyes, they were serious and were deep. Those emerald green eyes looked at you with hopes. You brought yourself to give a quick kiss on his eyelid and smiled, “I love you too, Arthur.”

Arthur was so excited that he hugged you tightly and you hugged him back. Well, the weather kind of ruined your moment with a loud thunder and you cried. The rain poured heavier and louder than before.

“It seems you can’t go home for today, love,” he said.

“Easy, I’ll just have to tell my parents I stay the night in your house.”
