Crocus – Italy

Today, you had invited one of your bestfriends, Feliciano Vargas, to your house. It wasn’t a special day or anything. You just wanted to have some time alone with him. You had asked him three days ago and he agreed to come. So now, you were preparing some snacks and drinks as you waited for him.

When you heard knocks and ‘Vee~’ sound, you knew it was him. You went to your door and readied your appearance before you opened the door and met his usual feature, his smile.

“Ciao, bella! Come stai?” he asked in his cheery voice.

Being his friends for years, you had learnt some of his language, “Sto bene! Come in, Feli!”

You moved aside to let him in. He went to the couch directly and you closed the door. “So, what are we going to do today, bella?” he asked. “Umm… actually I don’t know, but watching movies, maybe?”

“Sounds good, (name)!” then he went to the shelf and began to choose some movies. You let him did it as he was your friends for years and not only did he go to hour house quiet often but also the fact that you liked him for years too. You told him that you were going to get some snacks and drinks and went to where you put them.

You returned and put the snacks and drinks on the table and sat on the couch. You let yourself relaxed as you stared at Feliciano. If you took one quick look at him, it felt that he was just an ordinary boy with that everlasting smile on his face. But if you looked at him longer, you would blush because his image would change in your eyes into a handsome man. You liked his brown eyes, it’s like they were luminous. And not to mention, his behaviors and attitudes.

“Okay, let’s start with this first, (name)!” he said as he sat beside you and noticed your blank stare at him. “(name)? Bella?” he waved his hands in front of your face. You then realized that you had been daydreaming and just came back to the reality, “Oh, sorry. Daydreaming got me.”

“Okay, let’s enjoy the movies~”

After a marathon of three movies, you yawned and stretched your body then back to hug your pillow. You took your drink and drank it until the last drop. “Feli, let’s take a break for a while.”

“Sì!” he said and stood.

You got up too and cleaned the mess so far. When you threw the trashes, you heard his “Vee~” rather loud and he called you. He was at the small backyard of your house. You walked there and saw him outside already.

“You have wonderful garden here, bella!” he said as he ran to a corner and bent. You followed him and stood behind him. He turned his head and asked, “Bella, what flower are these? You have a lot of them.”

He pointed at flowers you had. They were bluish purple and they covered most of your flowerbed. “They’re called Crocus Flower, Feli.”

“Crocus..? Oh, I’ve heard of it once! Do you know what their meaning in flower language, bella?”

“Y- yes…” you stuttered. His face was so lightened up that you adored his face so much.

“Tell me what its meaning!” He picked one flower and stood, facing you, “I have heard it once, but I forget!”

You looked at his face then to the flower in his hand, which he brought in front of his chest. Thinking of the meaning made you blush and remembered why you had those flowers. The reason why you planted Crocus was because of its meaning that led to this man you liked, Feliciano.

“I- it means cheerfulness…”

“Oh, really?! Wow, I like it! That sounds like me, huh?”

You looked at him as he touched the flower and smiled. The scene before you was perfection in your eyes. ‘That’s why I choose this flower. Because I like it, just like I love you.’

Your thoughts were cut when you felt something on your lips. You were shocked to find that Feliciano was kissing you! His lips felt soft and his kiss was soft too. No force, no demand, no anything, just a kiss. He pulled back and kissed your forehead, before he said, “I love you too, bella~”

You felt your head was going to explode from the red. “I- I- You- w-why?” you couldn’t find the right words.

“Ehh… don’t you say you loved me?” he said, eyes closed.

“Wha..?” oh god, you didn’t realize you had voiced your mind. “No, I mean yes! I… love you, Feli…”

He suddenly wrapped you in a hug, “Vee~! I love you, (name)! Ti amo!”

You also enveloped him in a hug and smiled as wide as you could. Then seeing the flower in his hand, you thought, ‘it really gives me cheerfulness!’
