Anyone remember this old, crappy reference?

Well here's the updated version of it!

Her design hasn't changed much, haha. But I've recently been developing the crap out of her and so I thought she needed a new ref.

Personality:

Jake is often in a bad mood and it doesn't take much to make her lose her temper. It's also a force of habit for her to be quick to judge people and she tries to avoid them. She prefers being alone more often than not. The only person who she opens up to is her roommate, Maya. The reason why is because Maya managed to push her way into Jake's life and over time, Jake opened up to her a little. Jake likes her and calls her her friend because she feels that Maya is the only one who understands her problems, and her optimism helps Jake feel much less upset about her life.

Brief Bio:

Before Jake was born, her father left while her mom was still pregnant with her. Jake's dad had problems, and one of them was anger issues which happened to pass onto her. Throughout her childhood, she treated her mom horribly even though she didn't deserve it. Being a kid who still hasn't fully matured yet, she thought that her mom disliked her since she sent her to things like school, which Jake hated. When she was 17, she mindlessly made the decision to drop out of school and run away from home. She got as far away from home as she could until she made it to the other side of the state. She just barely managed to live on her own for 10 years by working small jobs for food money and avoiding sleep. Throughout those years, she started to realize that her mom didn't deserve to be treated the way she treated her. Her mom was already depressed since her ex husband left her without a word, and her only child leaving her without a word as well would have made her way more depressed to where she'd commit suicide. Jake assumed all of this happened and she started to hate herself since she thought she was the reason why her mom was probably dead. She kept this thought in her head for years and she still hates herself because of it. Finally one day, she met Maya who walked up to her at a bus stop and tried to cheer her up. After a few weeks of Maya running into her and making conversation at the bus stop, Jake gave in and opened up to her a little. Maya completely understood her problems and said that one day, she'd help her fix them. They only became closer friends from there and eventually roommates.

Facts:

- Jake doesn't actually smoke too often. But she does whenever she gets stressed out or after she loses her temper. It helps calm her down.

- She's well aware that smoking is bad for her, so she tries to find other ways to calm herself. Listening to relaxing music is her personal favorite.

- Though you could consider her an occasional smoker, she actually hates the taste of alcohol and never wants to get drunk.

- Jake has a shoe shining job because it's easy to her and it lets her be physically aggressive on people's shoes.

- She doesn't know it yet, but her mother is actually alive and well. She found a new partner fairly soon after Jake left, and later had five kids with him. It's a young wolf pack Jake doesn't know she has yet.
